Tom Breu is a renowned German artist whose infectious beats have been moving dance floors worldwide. His journey started on the shores of Ibiza, where he relocated at age 19 and has since become a prominent figure in the global underground. Here he links up with Sintra, a Peruvian-American artist who has swiftly risen in the dance music scene with a unique style and imaginative production that has led to support from artists like Keinemusik and Nora En Pure and gigs at major festivals. 
Tom Breu and Sintra explain, "We were feeling very inspired by melodic techno and Afro house and wanted to experiment with something in between those two worlds. This track is a reflection of that journey and our passion for sonic exploration." 
Driven by creative curiosity the wonderful, 'Murungu' seamlessly blends driving basslines and lush synths from the techno realm with the rich percussion, piano, and tension-release characteristic of Afro house. The result transcends traditional genre boundaries and makes for truly escapist listening on the dance floor.

This month’s Get Physical radio show features a mix from renowned German artist and DJ Tom Breu. Tom’s musical journey has seen him traversing the globe, settling in Ibiza at 19 and now calling Los Angeles home. He has been a constant presence on the global music scene playing the world’s most iconic clubs and festivals and releasing music on crucial labels. This month, he joined the Get Physical family for the latest single ‘Murungu’ alongside Peruvian-American artist Sintra. The mix for the show features this super Afro-House melodic fusion, along with a host of other recent gems from the world of Get Physical and Friends. We have tracks from Climbers, Cioz, Chelonis R. Jones and Djuma Soundsystem amongst others as Tom Breu takes us through a highly melodic and dance floor focused selection. The mix closes with a remastered Get Physical Classic as co-founders M.A.N.D.Y and Booka Shade work with Laurie Anderson on the excellent ‘O Superman’.

Accomplished house artist Tom Breu returns to Get Physical Music for beautiful vocal house single 'With You'. LA's Sion Louks is the featured guest vocalist.

Tom Breu is a German-born DJ and producer who has spent time living in Ibiza and Los Angeles and brings an array of influences to his music. He is currently riding high after the single ‘Weak’ with Vintage Culture and Maverick Sabre became a global hit and earned a Grammy nomination. He has a vast knowledge of electronic music that has seen him have a stint as a DJ for MTV, where he curated music for television audiences and helped shape the sound of a generation while also undertaking various other radio and TV hosting duties that have given him a worldwide fan base. His last release for Get Physical, ‘Mururngu’ received broad critical acclaim, and this new single is sure to do the same. He hooks up here with Sion Louks, a producer, artist and songwriter based in LA who has amassed millions of streams on labels like Earth's Rhythm Records.

Their superb 'With You' is a slow-burning gem with deep house beats. Dreamy arps ripple up high in a cloudless sky while the whispered vocal brings romantic intimacy, and plucked bass guitar proves some anchorage to the dance floor. It's an elegant, artful sound with a heartfelt breakdown that makes a lasting impact.

This is my reimagined version of “Como Nossos Pais”, a timeless classic by the legendary Elis Regina, one of Brazil’s most iconic voices.

• The song became a symbol of resistance and introspection during Brazil’s dictatorship era, holding a special place in the history of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira).

• The idea came to me during my first invitation to DJ at Burning Man. 

I felt a deep responsibility to share more than just a DJ set with Camp Mystic and the Burning Man community. I wanted to bring a piece of Brazil’s musical richness, and “Como Nossos Pais” immediately came to mind as the perfect song to reshape.
