I'm a new songwriter, living (retired) in the Brandywine Valley of Delaware. I started writing songs in 2022 after retiring from the Federal government. Penchant for story songs, roots, Anglo-Celtic. ARTIST BIO:
Tom Cooney is a dynamic singer-songwriter and guitarist who has been performing and teaching since his teenage years.  Tom performs original and cover music in Contemporary Folk, Americana, Blues, Jazz, Rock and Gospel styles. Tom performs in many live music settings, and tailors his shows to meet the needs of the audience and venue. A skilled guitarist and vocalist, Tom always delivers songs with energy, style, and fun. He is also available for private events.

A Connecticut native, Tom lives in the Philadelphia / Lehigh Valley area. He began his performing career at age 15, and began songwriting at age 17. He has performed in solo, duo, trio and band settings. Tom also teaches guitar, music theory, and beginner songwriting.

A student and lover of music, Tom minored in Applied Music while in college, and studied jazz guitar with Norman Johnson. 

He also performs praise and social justice music at various worship and public spaces in Greater Philly and afar.

The Acoustic Blues Project is based in Lehigh Valley, PA, USA and brings together three distinct musicians.  
 
Leon Bonam (Bass, Vocals, and Songwriting) is a well-known and versatile musician in the Lehigh Valley.  He has been an integral part of the Godfrey Daniels music scene for decades.  Leon also plays guitar and mandolin, and can also be seen with The Reggae Surfers, and as a leader in many open jams. 
 
Tom Cooney (Guitar, Vocals, and Songwriting) is a dynamic singer-songwriter and guitarist who has been performing and teaching for decades.  Tom can also be seen solo doing  original and cover music in contemporary folk, blues, jazz, rock and gospel styles, He plays at various public and private gigs, songwriting showcases, jams, and spiritual settings.

Earl Andrews (Harmonica) is a versatile harmonica player with a deep appreciation for the blues.
A 2017 Josie Music Award nominee, for “artist of the year”, in the blues/jazz category. In 2016, he was nominated for “best harmonica”, at the Greater Lehigh Valley Music Awards. He has had the opportunity to jam with some of the best musicians in the Lehigh Valley, PA area, including Bev Conklin and BC Combo, James Supra, and Dana Gaynor. He has performed as a duo with nationally known guitarist Sterling Koch. You can also hear him in duo settings with Tom Cooney, and Jason Hinkle.
