This Merkaba episode features JAGUARTREE, a Costa Rican music producer crafting electronic music since 2012 for many different scenes. JaguarTree's first steps in sound production were through several space-rock bands and the composition of contemporary dance and theatre scores, enabling him to experiment beyond normal compositions to create music in a more cinematic approach. In this project he tends to explore different areas of the psychedelic ethno-fusion storytelling bass music. The intention behind this music is to travel across all boundaries that society has created, let our dreams come true and not be bound to the norms that society intends to put us on. Channeling music for breaking social beliefs that have sickened our society...

The party started at 2pm with a 20's gramophone DJ set, followed by a 30's set at 3pm (with half price bootleg beer) - all the way up into the future later in the evening. We we're lucky enough to get the 80's slot.

In this episode, Mystic Sound comes from NAAN's Sola Luna Festival opening set, a mix that was recorded at the opening of Sola Luna festival in Thailand. NaaN is a musician based in Barcelona, a student and lover of many tribal and sacred rhythms from ancient parts of the world. He contributes to the scene with mixes and his own musical creations. Whether playing instrumental music or performing from DJ decks, NaaN travels the world, delivering performances ranging from chillout to psytrance, from self-produced tracks to live band exhibitions.  He blends tribal rhythms and organic tunes with ethnic instruments and cutting-edge synthesizers, creating deep, full basslines. Enjoyment and love for the music define his work—an ancient tribal journey from the future and from the heart.  NaaN is also a hang concert performer, opening and closing dancefloors. In every gig or jam session, he showcases his ability to mix diverse styles and combinations.

In this episode you can listen to a Live Set recording with original tracks and remixes by IMAGINATION PROJECT, a Ukrainian electronic psychedelic live act blending ancient musical traditions with modern technology. Each track fuses organic and digital elements into a unique sonic experience.  Founded in 2009 by Andrii Okujah (ShivaOm, Lacerta, Frog Prog / Amrita) as Art Imagination, the project was inspired by Secret Vibes at the Misterika Festival and renamed IMAGINATION Project in 2011. Hedflux is the main music project of Scottish-born DJ/Producer Steve Young.
A life-long electronic music enthusiast, Steve has been spinning in clubs and festivals since before he was legally allowed to enter them. Starting out in the early 90s golden era of rave, he went from old-school breaks to nu-skool breaks via happy hardcore and drum & bass, spending all his money on turntables, mixers and vinyl while changing his DJ name more often than his underwear.

In the early naughties, he developed a naughty relationship with psychedelic trance. Inspired by its smooth curves, other-worldly atmospheres, and an unrivalled ability to produce kaleidoscopic visions in the 3rd eye, he endeavoured to step up his production game and synthesize the ultimate heady dance music hybrid: psychedelic breaks!

The debut Hedflux track "Music Is My Weapon" was released in 2008 and this set the archetypal template for the next 5 years of music, during which time he released more than 30 records and performed across the UK, Europe, Australia and America.
