Certified Jackin was formed in 2011 with the intention of taking the big-bass “jackin house” sound that was taking over the North of England and the Midlands and deliver to a wider audience. This was achieved via a simple YouTube channel which quickly, and slightly unexpectedly, became a massive success, harnessing close to 100,000 subscribers and over 25 million views. The sound we delivered was greatly received throughout the United Kingdom and across the globe.
 
Over the following years, we helped promote and intensify the early careers of well-respected artists who featured heavily under the CJ name. Artists such as Hannah Wants, Chris Lorenzo and of course, our head honcho: ILL PHIL, amongst many others. Their meteoric rise through the music scene has, along with other artists and DJs brought underground House music to the forefront of the dance music world, specifically the ‘Jackin’, ‘Bass’ and ‘Tech House’ genres.
 
We host events across the United Kingdom, mainly at the prestigious Lightbox in London where we have hosted some of the best in the business: Endor, The Wideboys, Tom Bull, Rich Pinder, Skapes, Martin Ikin and others. We have taken Certified to Dublin with Tom Zanetti, Tom Garnett and Nick Hannam. We’ve also graced Tank in Sheffield, Insomnifest in Leeds, Manchester, Rotherham, Maidstone and Dover.
 
ILL PHIL’s world-famous Mixtapes have amassed millions of plays on SoundCloud and our debut album ‘Certified Jackin: Underground House Music’ cracked the Top 10 of the iTunes dance chart in mid-2014.
 
Our sound has naturally changed over time, but our values remain the same. We aim to deliver high energy, feel good, bass-laden house music with a twist. Full frontal, underground beats.

Tom Garnett first made his appearance on the the underground dance scene in his hometown of Leeds. Emerging fast with tracks in 2011/2012 in the Jackin House scene that was fast sweeping through places like Leeds & Birmingham. Playing alongside acts such as Chris Lorenzo and Hannah Wants and releasing multiple underground bangers! 
Tom held a club residency at the mighty Mission in Leeds for 9 years every Saturday night rubbing shoulders with some of the UK's biggest acts! Aswell as DJing all over the Uk and internationally from IBIZA to South Africa! 
 2016 to present has Tom has focused on fresh new styles and rising more in the tech/house scene with new styles of tracks that have been supported frequently by credible names such as MK, Hannah Wants, Arielle Free and many more! 
 With much more music and releases to come from Tom the future is looking big in the coming year!
