Tom began his journey as a DJ and producer in the late 1980s and
early 1990s. Over the past 30+ years, his tracks have been signed
to esteemed labels such as Defected Records, Universal Music,
Low Steppa's Simma Black, Swing City Records, Hedkandi and
many more. His productions and remixes, released under his own
name and various pseudonyms, also include releases on the
legendary AZULI Records, Miguel Miggs' Salted Records, Good For
You Records, and the iconic Cutting Records, among others.
Hailing from London, England, Tom's DJ career took off in the early
90's with him performing alongside pioneering artists like Todd
Terry, Marshall Jefferson and Kerri Chandler at world-renowned
venues including Bagley's Warehouse, Pacha, Ministry of Sound,
and The Roxy in New York.
In addition to his extensive career as a DJ, Tom's early productions
led to his signing with Grant Nelson's Swing City Records, one of
the UK's most prolific house music labels. He also co-founded Soul
Purpose Records alongside Martin Ikin.
Throughout his career, Tom has had the privilege of remixing
numerous classic tracks, including "Loving You" by Frankie
Knuckles, Kenny Summit, and Eric Kupper, "Step 2 Me" on Virgin
Records, "Aquela Esquina" by Negrocan (licensed to Universal
Music), and most recently, "AL-Naafiysh (The Soul)" by Hashim on
Cutting Records.
Always at the forefront of house music, Tom remains true to his
vision, avoiding fleeting trends and musical fads. He is known for
blazing his own trail behind the decks and in the studio, delivering
eclectic DJ sets and multi-genre productions. Whether you're
familiar with his name or not, Tom Gianelli is undeniably one of the
pioneers of a genre that has evolved into the vast global industry
