"Rays of Summer Sun" 

Here is a small summer-related excercise I played the other day using my old Korg SGProX as a midi keyboard! Everything except the brass was created using sounds from the wonderful UVI Emulation+ virtual synthesizer (representing the lovely hardware sounds of the E-mu Emulator, Emulator II, Emulator III and Drumulator). The brass is from the UVI JP Legacy/Saturn-6 (cf. Jupiter 6).

It's incredible that it only took me ten years to make something with this melody. I find this funny because, just recently, I've been reconnecting with friends from that time and, to be honest, it has been kind of a surreal experience. 
Anyway, this one goes to a friend named like a constellation.

Heart Of A Robot

Elektra - Complete Miracle
Is the first piece from a trilogy.
Elektra is a female character from Greek mythology, originating in antiquity and handed down by Sophocles and Homer.

The story:
After the victorious war against Troy, Agamemnon had returned to Mycenae and was killed there by his wife Clytemnestra and her lover Aegisth. At this time, his daughter Electra had taken her younger brother Orest to a carer who was supposed to raise him to be his father's future avenger. Since then, Elektra has lived a life in which the only thing she longs for is the moment of revenge. When the rumour of Orest's death makes the rounds, she wants to commit the murder herself. She urges her sister Chrysothemis in vain to help her, when suddenly a stranger appears: it is Orest. Elektra sees herself at the goal of her dreams.

Nach dem siegreichen Krieg gegen Troja war Agamemnon nach Mykene zurückgekehrt und dort von seiner Frau Klytämnestra und ihrem Geliebten Aegisth getötet worden. Seine Tochter Elektra hatte zu dieser Zeit ihren jüngeren Bruder Orest bei einem Pfleger in Sicherheit gebracht, der ihn zum künftigen Rächer des Vaters aufziehen sollte. Seither fristet Elektra ein Leben, das einzig den Moment der Vergeltung herbeisehnt. Als das Gerücht vom Tod Orests die Runde macht, will sie selbst zur Mordtat schreiten. Vergeblich bedrängt sie ihre Schwester Chrysothemis, ihr zu helfen, als plötzlich ein Fremder erscheint: Es ist Orest. Elektra sieht sich am Ziel ihrer Träume.
