Das Pfingstfest bzw. der Pfingstsonntag ist ja bekanntlich der feierliche Abschluss der Osterzeit und selbstverständlich für uns der Freifahrtschein die Pforten des mit der üblichen Bassmaschine ausgerüsteten Bogen2's für euch zu öffnen, um mit euch & dem Dunklen Treiben Köln die Osterzeit gebührend zu verabschieden. Denn einen Feiertag soll man feiern, das sagt ja schon der Name. ;-)

Oberverabschieder an diesem Abend wird die Belgische Technowaffel TOM HADES sein, welcher sich aktuell auf seiner "The Missing Touch Album World Tour" befindet und für uns mal nen Ründchen nach Köln kommt!

Zahlreiche Releases unter anderem auf Adam Beyer & Cari Lekebusch's Label Drumcode oder auf seinem eigenen Label Rytm Converted gehen auf Hades Konto.

Zweiter im Bunde ist ASPARUH! Der junge Bulgare und Chef von NG Records befindet sich ebenfalls auf einer kleinen Deutschlandtour. Freitags rockt er noch im Butan zusammen mit Dandi&Ugo/ Marika Rossa und unseren Drucklust Jungs den Butan Mainfloor und Sonntags geht es dann schon bei uns in Köln weiter.

Abrunden werden den Pfingstrave die Drucklust, Dunkles Treiben & Affenkäfig Ausnahmetalente Björn Nimmich, John Porno & Tommy.

Köln ist Techno! Unsere neue technoide Partyreihe BUTAN MADNESS lädt Euch am Freitag den 29.08. ein, ein bisschen Kölner Luft zu schnuppern. Wir haben die angesagtesten Partyreihen der Domstadt eingeladen um mit Euch eine abwechslungsreiche Nacht zu zelebrieren: Affenkäfig, Drucklust & Dunkles Treiben. Als Headline konnte mit Sasha Carassi ein Mann der Stunde mit ins Boot geholt haben. Auf seinem Label Phobiq erscheinen gerade in der letzten Zeit nicht nur Killertracks von ihm, sondern auch von vielen weiteren angesagten Produzenten. Mit MDS kommt ein weiterer hochkarätiger Italiener vorbei. Seine Releases auf internationalen Labels wie Trapez, Alchemy, Respekt oder Kombination Research sprechen eine eindeutige Sprache und wir freuen uns sehr, ihn zum ersten Mal im Butan begrüssen zu dürfen. Support kommt in dieser Nacht von den 3 Aushängeschildern der Partyreihen: Erixon, Tommy Libera & John Porno begleiten unsere beiden Headline durch die Nacht. Auf den Nebenfloors gibt es dann die volle Power der Resident-DJ's. Affenkäfig im Brauherrn, Drucklust in der Räucherkammer & Dunkles Treiben im Keller versprechen nicht nur einen Vollabriss sondern vor allem eine Nacht, die vor dem Morgengrauen nicht vorbei ist. Kevin Witt’s new album REVIEW on TKR, his third long player at all, is a true homage on techno. Kevin is turning strong basslines and powerful drum-arrangements into flawless techno connections, taking you back into Detroit-, Berlin- and Frankfurt-History. His range is going from dark, bubbling club tracks like „Change“, „Move“ or „Feel“ up to multi-dimensional and almost fluorescent productions such as „Peak“ or „Timeless“.

Kevin’s tracks are bursting unmistakably when groove and rhythm are interacting. He takes snapshots out of life, transforms them into BPM-sensations and throws them right back into direction alpha centauri. His personal demand on techno is backed up by the sweaty influences he takes out of the nightlife.

The intense connection of analog and digital studio equipment can’t only be felt through the analog sounding drums Kevin records in precise and detailed work and throws through numerous filters. It’s the sound of the whole album tha combines pure international techno with warm, minimal and melodic snippets.

While the drums seem to be on a powerful techno-journey, there’s always a vocal snippet, some FX sound or a Kevin Witt-typical spheric sound kicking in. The variety of instruments and the sounddesign turn REVIEW into a technoid monolith inviting everyone to explore and go on a stimulating journey.
