Concerto for Piano #12

This is my 5th piano improvisation and it was recorded at Emmanuel Church in Falmouth. 

I set up; still not fully awake on a Monday morning... and this was the first and only recording I did. Its turned out to be my favourite improv in the series so far. 

I decided to keep the door to the room open as it felt wrong and very insular to shut out the atmosphere happening outside. Instead I tried to play off these sounds and let myself become immersed in the space and let it shape the music I played.

Against The Time

My teenage daughter came up with a little composition she had made some time ago. This was the start of our first mother-daughter-collaboration. 
I added an intro and outro based on her chord progression and also some strings in the middle part. Apart from that the composition is hers. 
In the middle part we play together with four hands on an acoustic piano. With all the imperfections and inaccuracies that go along. 
We enjoyed doing this together, hope you enjoy listening.

Opus Kaja

With this I tried going for some simple sustained notes with a easy repeating melody. I think the end result is a somewhat calm and moody piano piece that isn't too hard to listen to.
