Real name Alexander Tidebrink, A7S is responsible for music which is widely recognized across the globe. His humble beginnings growing up in the Swedish town of Ulricehamn saw him learn the craft of songwriting on the guitar and piano, a discipline he has retained all his life. Since those days he has written, sung and performed on many other artists’ tracks, soon achieving number one across the globe including in Germany, China and his home country of Sweden. Fast forward to today and A7S has a total of over 2 billion streams of his music to date – including 250 million for ‘Your Love (9pm)’, a Billboard Music Awards nomination for Top Dance/Electronic Song with ‘Breaking Me’ with Topic, and a worldwide smash hit ‘Why Do You Lie To Me’ featuring Grammy-winning Atlanta rapper Lil Baby.

This month, Alok is hosting the Label Showcase in which you’ll be taken on a wonderful journey through his very own record label: Controversia. Alok started Controversia in 2019 to build a bridge between himself and the electronic scene. At that time he considered himself not just a DJ, but also a pop artist. But with Controversia he intended to stay closer to his electronic roots. The label works with DJs such as Yves V, Chico Rose, Timmy Trumpet, Laidback Luke, and many others.

The Pressure is an enigmatic electronic band from London with a solid melodic core. Their sound is deeply influenced by rave culture and performance dance acts such as Underworld and Depeche Mode. With the support of Pete Tong on Radio 1 for multiple remixes and singles, the duo further worked their way into the rave scene. In 2020 the duo self-released two tracks—’ Ride’ and ‘Planes’—which showcased various production techniques reminiscent of the Bristol-era of UK electronica. In 2021, they debuted on Undisputed Music with ‘Saturday Night’. This distinctive dance cut sat somewhere between deep house and crossover electronica and has clocked up more than a million streams across all platforms to date.
