Every month, Laidback Luke hosts an exclusive one-hour show, taking you on a magical journey back to the golden era of dance music and celebrating its incredibly history, while sharing a bunch of his most memorable stories.

This month, Luke puts the spotlight on the pioneers of French dance music: Daft Punk. The show is filled with both Daft Punk’s very first remixes, right up to their all-time hits. On top of that, he’s also bringing a tribute to the artists that made Filter Disco and French-House music popular again. 

‘By the beginning of the nillies, I got signed by Virgin. The same label as Daft Punk,’ Laidback Luke said, ‘I was starting the promotion for my album Electronic Satisfaction and within that trajectory, I toured with some new and upcoming French acts like Fenix and Superfunk. Fafa Monteco from Superfunk, who was from Paris, was good friends with Daft Punk, so Virgin let me make a remix for Superfunk. That caught the attention of Pedro Winter, Daft Punk’s manager, but also from Daft Punk themselves. So, by the time Discovery came out they asked me to do an official remix for the Daft Club-album.”
