Finding their local music scene to be packed with pretentious, self-important shoe gazing Indie, "Emerging British Electro-pop Sensation" The Dirty Disco desired to create something different, something fresh and something theatrical. Something they’ve succeeded in doing, and then some. 

In fact, when asked to describe the pulsating electro theatrics of The Dirty Disco, one crackpot follower had this advice: “Imagine… the lust child of Ziggy Stardust and Britney Spears”. And they weren’t far from the mark. What they neglected to mention was this Britney Spears would also have to have a penchant for bad acid, more than a passing interest in the happenings of back-street Soho and a unique way of fusing gyrating Electronica with infectious pop hooks.

“White Room” is the The Dirty Disco’s second single, the follow up to their debut and introductory single "Sista!" which peaked at No. 20 in the iTunes Dance Chart. Both tracks, along with future single “Storyteller” were mixed by Grammy Award Winning Dylan "3D" Dresdow, Will.I.Am / Black Eyed Peas long-term studio accomplice, after the unsigned band got in contact through facebook. Dresdow has been responsible for mixing the likes of Nas, Michael Jackson, Wu-tang Clan, and more recently Black Eyed Peas, Cheryl Cole, Rihanna and Kelis. "White Room" was mastered by Tom Coyne (Britney Spears / Beyonce / Pink / Cheryl Cole). 

Initial remixes of White Room are available from Last Japan, Subsource, Shooting Horses, Voltergeist and The Art.

"I wrote the lyrics just as I was getting over a really shitty phase of black, blue and turd brown" says The Dirty Disco's Adam Boy, "And after the ever-so-efficient NHS insisted i needed to spend a few hours in a “White Room” many moons ago. I didn’t want to write a self-pitying song. Sometimes you need to laugh at yourself to get out of the state of mind that has engulfed you. It’s tongue in cheek galore and lot’s of fun”

The bands last 4 headline shows have sold out, including their Death Disco @ The Notting Hill Arts Club appearance, which had a queue around the block, and their festival season kicked off with two fantastic shows at The Great Escape and a headline slot on the New Bands Stage at Beach Break. The Dirty Disco appear on the second stage at GuilFest on Sunday 18th July with more shows and festivals to be confirmed.

Four years ago, 20 miles south of central London, four people went into a studio to start a war.  Fucked off with so-called live dance acts mincing behind laptops, and rock acts with no more substance than the product in their hair we decided things had to change. 

The snarl of Punk, the oscillating sub bass of dubstep, the harrowing melody of coldwave all had to be in there with as much of electronica’s glitches and edits, hip-hop’s flows, the galloping ferocity of drum’n’bass and metal as possible. No subgenre’s safe from the “treatment.”  The vivisection becomes complete when firing up the live beast. Amalgamated from double bass, synths, drums, guitars, and vocals, like an amphetamised Rottweiler running riot through a free warehouse party, tearing holes in speaker cones, our live shows leave saucer eyed audiences writhing in sweat-drenched ecstasy.

SPY has really delivered here. A rough and rugged interpretation of a true classic.

this is def one of my fave remix this year...as the original was a big hit in the past this will have the same effect when it gonna be released....this is a big dancefloor smasher.

I love the original and love this one! big remix! the most desirable of all the tunes for me

I had a chance to hear it at my first experience at Fabric Night Club in the UK. Simply beautiful. 
Malaky - 
Another all time classic brought perfectly up to date.Beefed up breaks on top of those classic samples,but still does the original justice.This tune will always take me back!!!!!

LTJ Bukem - Subtle and smooth rework, love how Technicolour introduces the original Music bells, fading them up in the mix, makes you almost not realize what your actually listening to, love it!
Bryan G - When I first heard this track it felt like a spiritual journey into music. This remix leaves me feeling exactly the same. Mad props to Technicolour, they rolled out one of the biggest classics in drum & bass.
Jack Frost - Music rework is like a brand new record but with that same class and instant appeal as the original recording .. Great record
Lenzman - My first piece of Drum & Bass vinyl was "Music" and I have to say that the Technicolour rework is stunning. A great re-imagining of the original.
EZ Rollers - When remixing a classic such as Music it is easy to get it wrong and difficult to get it right. Well, Mr Technicolour you got it so right! 10/10
Technicolour - 	'Music' is one of THE cornerstones of jungle to me, one of a handful of tracks that really laid a foundation for everything that has come to pass since. So I hope my deep reverence for the original comes through in the remix. 
Furney - Nice little re-hash of Bukems classic, the new elements swirl it up nicely and the rolling break rattles in your face faster than an Olympic gold medallist. The unforgettable bass hook, faithfully reproduced, make this a chin stoker and a leg shaker.  Don't miss this one.
Blu Mar Ten - True to the craft.
Jay Rome - Really love this remix by Technicolour....he still kept the great dreamy vibe of the original and made a solid update of it....Technicolour never does wrong.
Command Strange - It's really great remix, now this legendary track sounds fresh to the old spirit! BIG!
Malaky - Amazing rework of one of my all time favourites.Still got the vibes of the original but with a modern twist.Not an easy task to remix such a classic track,but Technicolour's got it spot on.Can't wait for this one!!!!!
