Aurenda 

A unique blend of hip hop, metal, edm, dub, acoustic and drum n bass with hints of Aotearoa soul.

A five piece band operating from Auckland New Zealand. The band is founded on over 20 years of friendship and a genuine love for music of all genres. As the sound of the band continues to progress new styles and sounds are slowly taking form which will shape the next generation of song writing sessions. With their debut E.P "Crescendo" completed and released, the clockwork is just starting to tick once again. Keep your ears peeled for whats to come

The meaning of the name is a blend of two words. 

Aura - the distinctive atmosphere or quality that seems to surround and be generated by a person, thing, or place

Orenda - the invocation of the power of human will to change the world around us. It is set up to be the opposing force to fate or destiny. If powerful forces beyond your control are trying to force you one way, orenda is a kind of voiced summoning of personal strength to change fate.
