Based on the oral history interviews that members conducted in Fall 2020, this new play explores themes of family, harm reduction, and hopes and dreams of those who have experienced incarceration. Aiming to disrupt harmful stereotypes present in our community, this play centers the voices of those most directly impacted by pressing community concerns and amplifies them on the radio.

Hopes & Dreams ("Steppin' Into My Shoes" Episode 3)

Zoe van Nostrand, Marketing and Community Engagement Coordinator at the History Center of Tompkins County talks about various projects and exhibits at the center. The exhibit "Breaking Barriers: Women's Lives and Livelihoods" covers a wide range of women and time periods, starting with the impact local indigenous women and social structures had on the suffragist movement in New York.
