i can really relate to this song! i believe i know someone, too, who makes me feel that way! the tought of him dying someday kills me and makes me regret all the situations i could have handled differently and better. 
even though loving makes you vulnerable and therefore so much more susceptible to pain, it's still worth it! 
i'll do it all over again!
