For our next adventure , we invited our Dutch friend Joris Turenhout ! 

Joris has been hooked to techno since he was 18 years old. When he first listened to techno during Amsterdam Dance Event he knew that techno is his passion. Started in his own home in Amsterdam he developed the skills to become a DJ. This was noticed by many promoters and has led to DJ-performances within the whole country. The crowd will immediately feel and know when Joris Turenhout is entering his playground. The characteristics of his DJ sets are known to have melodic elements with a dark ambience behind it. Besides being a DJ, Joris Turenhout is a succesfull producer who has been releasing music on the Amsterdam based label Airborne Black , Mark Reeve's label Subvision , Orange recordings , Oscuro Music. 
Joris Turenhout his music production can be described as dark atmospheric in combination with heavy synths while a constant groove is playing underneath. Next to his release on this big labels there are multiple releases planned for major labels in 2021, therefore Joris Turenhout is a name to watch out for within the techno scene.

T.Ø.M – das steht keinesfalls für durchschnittlichen Sound oder nur seinen Vornamen. Das Akronym bezeichnet seinen Werdegang, seine musikalischen Ursprünge und seine zukünftige Geschichte - Tale of Myself !

Schon im Alter von 4 Jahren zog es Tom in die wundervolle Welt der Musik.
Ganz nach dem Motto "Früh übt sich", hat er mithilfe seines ersten erlernten Instrumentes, dem Klavier, das Grundgerüst für seine musikalische Entwicklung gelegt, welche durch Input aus dem Punk, 
in dem er den E-Bass und seine Facetten kennenlernte, gefestigt, 
sowie durch Einflüsse aus den Tiefen der Klassik und des orchestralen Klangs, durch Erlernen des Kontrabasses, verstärkt wurde. Eine langjährige Gesangsausbildung tat das Übrige, um die Grundsteine für eine musikalische Zukunft zu legen.

Aus dieser Bandbreite an Möglichkeiten kristallisiert sich T.Ø.M's ganz individueller Sound heraus,
der sich keinesfalls nur auf ein Genre konzentriert – von dunklem aber dennoch sphärischen, rollenden Techno, über strahlenden Sundowner Melodic Techno bis hin zu groovy TechHouse ist seine Soundpalette weit gefächert.

Im Jahr 2018 wurde aus den verschiedenen musikalischen Ursprüngen, die Liebe zur elektronischen Musik geboren und im Sommer 2019, stand er das erste Mal selbst hinter den Decks.
Bei Gigs in den Regensburger Locations Peter&Paul.Waschbar, HeartBeat und Schimmerlos konnte sich bereits ein Bild von seinen Fähigkeiten gemacht werden.

Als Newcomer steht T.Ø.M aber keinesfalls alleine da, supported wird er von dem Regensburger Kollektiv SYNDIKAET und seinen Mitgliedern, die Ihn bei seinem Werdegang unterstützen und ihn im Februar 2020 ins Kollektiv aufnahmen.
Die Aufnahme ins Kollektiv Gretchen Will Tanzen ist der nächste Schritt einer musikalischen Reise und egal wo Ihn sein Weg hinführen wird, man darf sehr gespannt sein, was da noch auf Uns zu kommen mag.

He has already played together with international artists such as Jay Lumen, Bart Skills, Dapayk, Sascha Braemer, Ron Flatter, Nicole Moudaber, Carl Cox, Ricardo Villalobos, Mark Fanciulli, Onno, Oxia, Phillip Bader, Dosem, Coyu, Hollen, Ramiro Lopez, Stephan Bodzin, Dusty Kid, Wade, D-Nox, Teenage Mutants, Moonwalk, Channel X, Uto Karem, Andre Galluzzi, Tyree Cooper and many more and charmed his audience.

He played sounds from Progressive House to Melodic and Techno.

Tom Schön has in his career already released on labels such as Aviary Rec., Amber Rec., Dear Deer Music, Rezongar Music, Sinedie, Circle Music, Mad Hatter, Jaw Dropping, BluFin, Praxxis, Soundso Rec., Sickness, Toxic Family, Fassade Rec., Affin, Soap Rec., Delikt-Music, DSR Digital, Global Echoes, Abiesa Rec., Glovel Deep, nuOn Music, Royal Plastic, Pure Pure Rec., Technocracy Rec., Koyo Rec., and many more. But least on his own label audioVENE which starts 2016.

After 10 years as resident dj at the legendary U60311, he has his homebase since 2013 at  the club Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt at the series COLOURS.

Since 2013, Tom work with his longtime colleague Richard Sturm together to a new collaboration. Under the name SCHÖN & STURM, they publish many tracks and remixes.
