Chaos is not a generic and indeterminate mass of matter, but a constantly changing dimension where the speed of the emergence of new determinations leaves no space for the formation of constant elements over time. What defines CHAOSM is a constellation of a-rhytmic patterns and digital errors that moves around the room, a meaningless assemblage of endless sonic perspectives.

Played live at IEM CUBE 30/01/23 in 5th order ambisonics, this version is decoded in binaural.

"Hypereality" is a sonic exploration that embraces the enigmatic realms of hauntology and hyperglitch, inviting the audience to contemplate the blurred boundaries between the real and the simulated, the past and the present, and the tangible and the intangible.

Hypereality

With reference to chaos in music, in "Mille Plateaux" by Deleuze and Guattari the refrain is the possibility of extracting from chaos a form that is nevertheless not stable, fixed, but remains in motion, always liable to a new transformation.
Another way of describing this dynamic is to define rhythm as an attempt to defend blocks of space-time, from chaos. In this work these blocks are neither stable nor closed, but are constantly transforming, passing into one another.
Rhythm is what can arise between one block and another, in the interval, in the passage between two forms. The aim of this work is to seek chaos or coherence between the gaps in the repetitiveness of the refrain and the polyrhythmic complexity.

"Nightcrawler" EP is out everywhere!

Tomson Fauster is a techno music producer, live performer, and DJ. His musical style has been strongly influenced by the acid techno sounds of the '90s and the frenetic pulses of the free party and illegal rave movements he grew up with across Italy and Europe. It is also contaminated by sound design techniques and experimental music, and the realities and musical cultures he has experienced while traveling.

His new acid techno EP, Nightcrawler, was released on Hydrophonic Records in June 2025, both on vinyl and across all digital music platforms. During the past years, he released also different EPs with underground techno music labels, and the last ones are "Morphic Space" (No Sense of Place Records, 2023) and "BlackHole" (OffGrid Records, 2021). His new liveset is characterized by a blend of diverse musical cultures, all wrapped in a dark halo of acid techno, polyrhythmic grooves, and swirling electronic synthesis sounds.
