Psychedelic quirks and twist ripple the surface of his crystal clear productions, on which the reflections of exotic soundscapes float past. In other words: He is deep in a very grounded way. "Der Nebel um Utopia" will make the hearts of Downbeat lovers flutter, "Nachtwanderung" and "Glueck im Gegenlicht'' are two very solid reasons for a very solid party. The same goes for the excellent selection of remix artists, making this a remarkably multifaceted andversatile EP.

Having already contributed a remix to the third EP on Heimlich Musik, Berlin-based downtempo wizard Dolph now returns to the label with a solid solo EP consisting of four original mixes and remixes by Arutani and O/Y.

Chasing the Dragon enchants with a distinctive mixture of organic elements and well-dosed synth lines, creating a unique sound oscillating between dancefloor energy and living room atmosphere. Originating from Dolph's infamous live performances, the 11th EP out on Heimlich Musik paints a coherent and homogeneous picture. The release's title track is a metaphoric attempt to chase your inner dragon, describing a passionate state of consciousness between self-destruction and perfectionism, and the challenging attempt to find the balance between light and darkness. Highlighting melancholic elements with bright bell sounds, this inner fight is drawn in vivid detail, leaving the question open if the dragon ever gets caught. OMFG picks up this vibe without giving a clear answer - creating a euphoric feeling of enlightenment by mixing up a dominant lead sound with humanoid drums. As a symbol of falling for the dark side, Lilith is building up an atmosphere of irrational and passionate instincts, which are present as a dominant mood throughout every element of the track. Invictus is in turn built upon a certain kind of optimism that emerges at the end of Dolph’s Chasing the Dragon. In his remix, O/Y strips down OMFG to its very essentials, building up a version that can be identified as the signature O/Y sound from the very first second, through his use of groove  – without losing the originals’ focus. Arutani, on the other hand, tries to make sure the dragon gets caught in the end.

'Own your Own Piece of Recycled Sisyphos

The label Sisyphon is rewriting the rules of the format for its upcoming Hammahalle compilation, replacing the classic double vinyl with a real piece of the club instead.

In fact the latest Hammahalle release is handmade and reflects Sisyphos’ long standing commitment to recycling and up-cycling.

Each piece is unique and is constructed from original material abandoned on-site in the club’s earlier life as an East German factory, and is locked to a USB stick containing the music.

The pieces will be a very limited edition.

The compilation looks like it sounds. Raw, edgy, dirty - the kind of techno that takes you to the core of Hammahalle.

The compilation contains music from club residents Fidelity Kastrow, Jonty Skrufff and sound chief Guiamm plus exclusive new tunes from Italy’s techno producer Marco Faraone, ODD Recordings’ chief Arjun Vagale (India), Germany’s Anja Schneider, Brazilian-in-London Vinicius Honorio and Mute/ Novamute legend Daniel Miller.

All tracks will be available individually alongside a special DJ mix delivered by compilation curator Jonty Skrufff.,

Heute geht’s schön flott in eine neue aber auch letzte Runde in meiner Live-Production-Serie. Jim aka Bock & Fuchs begeistert mich mit seinen Live-Sets schon etwas länger. Das erste Mal getroffen haben wir uns bei einer Afterhour Sounds Party im Beate Uwe … wo er extra als Gast vorbei kam, was auch nicht jeder macht. Außer der Musik verbindet uns auch die Liebe zu den Bergen und dem alpinen Klettern … Jim weißt ja die Einladung auf ein Kletterweekend in der Fränkischen Schweiz steht noch.

Strobe Light ist auf jeden Fall was zu Bock & Fuchs Sound sehr gut passt … am besten mit viel Nebel dazu. Seine Live-Sets sind für den Dancefloor konzipiert --- immer grandiose Stimmungsbögen, tolle Pausen für die Tänzer und immer ordentlich Druck. Nach dem Live-Set für unsere Afterhour Sounds Podcast Reihe dachte ich schon so … naja das nicht zu toppen … aber doch … das Strobe Light Set ist nochmals ganz anders und wie ich finde noch ausgereifter. Jim richtig GEIL --- tausend Dank <3

So und nun liebe Hörer viel Freude beim Hüpfen im Wohnzimmer … weil ruhig auf dem Sofa ist hier nicht.

Aleckat is an Australian born feline renowned for his prowess in mixing on the decks with his signature style in techno.
Starting his musical journey with a pair of CDJs in 2007 he was captivated in mixing early 00s break beat and house music. The same year his musical tastes expanded after being introduced to underground bush parties and raves.
With a seemingly large contrast between the light-hearted, catchy music he grew to love and the dark, expansive sounds that psychedelic music has to offer, his style became a decade long pursuit in marrying the best of both worlds. Aimed at capturing hefty, driving Psycadelic Basslines and the funky rhythms and hooks of house music, all marinated with sultry undertones, intelligent percussion sequences, and a playful inviting nature.

Now Producing his own music alongside Djing gigs, his productions have slipped their way into the dance floor at Esoteric festival (Vic), Ponies, Cymatics festival (NZ), earth dance Festival, Fireworld, Transcendence and rain dance festival (WA), his sets are guaranteed to make you think, wiggle your hips and bring out even the shyest feline in their dance floor journey throughout the night.
