SLOW BURN is a meditation on culling our desire and need
for extraneous possessions, burning down those things
that are not pure of heart, and warming the soul in the
embers left behind. Through loss and renewal, we may
realize that the fear of our possessions no longer being
within grasp is often larger than the fear of not having
them at all.

“Things burn down and then you watch the flowers grow
back out of the cracks,” Michal reflected in an interview
with BandWagon. “It’s about watching things burn, but
realizing that they’re just things,” he said. “And realizing
that the pain of losing them actually creates space.”

While on Jam Cruise 13 (2015), Derek Vincent Smith AKA Pretty Lights uploaded 10 tracks straight from his laptop to PLF member Cassie Blochinger's flash drive. Some are debatably finished, some are breaks from which he would sculpt a finished track, and some are right in the middle. The tracks themselves are not necessarily all new, but still have not seen an official release.
