Perceptions” is a musical project resulting from the partnership of two friends. Together they offer original music merging their various influences and their approach to sound processing.

Arsène uses machines to build a base influenced by hip hop beats; then adds bass lines with a touch of groove and alternative rock. He takes sounds and synthesizers from electronic music all while nurturing the project with his influences in classical music, film and sound design.

Lucas, on guitars, brings his influence in metal and hard rock culture to the project. He combines a sound that can be heavy and saturated with lead melodies and background music worked with pedal effects. He completes his process with rhythms and ideas taken from funk and rock.

There are things in life you love to do... Then there are things in life you KNOW you are supposed to do. 

   In elementary school I had an obligation to show up and get through it. But, I had an early swing of rebellion and decided that I would rather listen to Hiphop, no one else around me really even knew what that was at the time. From The Fugis, to 2 pac. To Nas, to Dogg Pound, I was deep in bliss and there was no one that was going to pull me out of it. EVER. 
   
   I have been writing poetry since about then, and though I never believed I could legitimately be an MC until much later in my life, I finally came to the realization that happiness and fulfillment were very much tied into exactly that... this is the life that I need to be living, these are the experiences I need to be having, and this is how I am going to contribute to the world that I live in... in the most positive way possible.

   We all need a purpose, and we all deserve to feel serenity at its upmost potential. 

   We all have a hidden talent and or strength, and we all need to discover ourselves in order to bring that out of us.
