Ahead of a trip to Argentina and Brazil, Markus Schulz checks in with another fresh studio edition of Global DJ Broadcast. On the show, he features new music from Chemical Brothers, Tim Besamusca, Bart Skils, Goodboys, and Gorgon City, as well as a reflective spin of his new Dakota single, Stereo 11AM; which is available now.  

The show also features a guestmix from Daxson, as both he and Markus gear up for their X series collaboration Frantika, which will be released on Friday June 14, the day before Transmission in Prague.

This set was recorded in July 2024, during my last show at Do Not Sit On The Furniture, Miami's favorite South Beach nightclub and a venue that has been home to me for so many years. It's a personal favorite. It's sound system and intimate setting allows you to dive deep into musical journeys.  

I want to honor this venue by sharing with you this very special mix, filled with a lot of my latest groovy creations, including my latest release 'Aladanza'. For the past year I've been tapping back to my roots incorporating vocals and getting heavier with the percussive grooves, creating my own signature swing. 

I am dedicating this mix to Behrouz and the whole DNS crew who have always shown me tons of love for my music. Enjoy!

It was an honour for me to play on Saturday at the Spirit Space - and give all the mystical creatures a cozy soft shelter to ground, recharge, and connect with others at night. So beautiful to watch the space fill up during those two hours and become a wobbling interconnected so(ul)rganism with lots of contact dance. I truly felt naked while playing this set, because I poured my whole heart out there and showed so much of my inner being... Slightly scary, but always worth it.

Und dann hab ich mich getraut einfach mal zu zocken was mich grade am meisten bewegt. Ohne darüber nachzudenken wie das wohl ankommt, egal was von mir erwartet wird, egal wie gut die Vibes zueinander passen, egal wieviele Tracks zum mitsingen nacheinander kommen. Und es war ein Riesen Spaß diese bunte Tüte mit euch zu genießen. Ich bin lange nichtmehr so befreit und voller Freude durch die Booth gehüpft. Ihr strahlenden Tanzmäuse wart ein Traum✨

To celebrate the big finale of the festival season in style, a whole bunch of people close to my heart came together on the mystical island. After one of the most beautiful & intense nights of my life, I strolled into the sunny Freaky Forest on Sunday lunchtime. And then I dared to just play what moved me the most at the moment. Without thinking about how it would be received, no matter what was expected of me, no matter how well the vibes matched, no matter how many tracks to sing along to. And it was great fun to enjoy this colorful mix with you. It's been a long time since I've bounced so freely and joyfully through the booth. You glowing dancing mice were a dream✨

At times the fact that DJs play other peoples´ music tends to fade into the background somewhat. Time to pay them hommage!

In the course of more than 15 years we have encountered a bunch of impressive artists.

It was and still is their music that has made our sets what they are. Some of them came to play at one or the other of our annual GRAND SPORTFEST events in Berlin.

Some musical connections have even evolved into long-standing friendships.
So the idea of kinking up with these special colleagues to create a compilation came easy and a while ago. And much later, finally here it is!
