Since launching in early 2016, the Explorations series returns for its fourth outing. Having previously welcomed artists such as Theo Kottis, Tontario, Modd and Luttrell to the label, ‘Anjunadeep Explorations 04’ introduces more new faces to the family.

Previously one-half of production duo Journeyman, Dom Furlonge makes his debut outing under his new Antic alias with EP opener ‘And I Pray’. Dom showcases his own vocals and distinctive production flair on this quirky club cut.

Our second track brings together the Bath-based duo Kotu and Munich’s Sam Goku on ‘Ascension’, blending a subtle rolling bassline with soaring strings and sparse piano to wonderful effect. A much sought after ID from recent Anjunadeep Editions from James Grant and Dom Donnelly.

Next up is emerging German talent Ben Böhmer with ‘Flug & Fall’. Ben fuses organic elements, vocal chanting and warm melodic grooves in this uplifting number.

Closing the EP, Melbourne’s GMJ and Matter debut with throwback progressive gem ‘Earthless’.

Lisbon’s Bruno Cardoso a.k.a Xinobi has made a name for himself on the European scene with his disco infused sound. Taken from Bruno’s 2017 LP ‘On The Quiet’ on Discotexas, ‘Far Away Place’, which features vocals from Margarida Falcão, now receives the remix treatment from label stalwart Jody Wisternoff and Anjunadeep boss James Grant. One of a handful of exclusive remixes made especially for their forthcoming Anjunadeep 09 compilation.

Following on from his Anjunadeep Explorations debut last summer, emerging German DJ/producer Ben Böhmer returns to the label for his first solo outing with a trio of melodic weapons on ‘Morning Falls EP’. The EP opens with the rolling melodies of ‘Morning Falls’ before drifting into peak time club cut ‘After Earth’. Böhmer rounds off the EP with the laid back grooves of ‘Velvet Rebellion’ which also features his friend and frequent collaborator Wood.

Italian producer Lorenzo Calvio follows high profile releases on Suara & Moodmusic, with a welcome debut on Constant Circles, delivering two original tracks full of melody & emotion. 

The title track “Just The Beginning” is a stand out electronica cut, with a deep groove and beautifully layered melodies under a haunting vocal. This is the kind of track that gets under your skin and goes straight to your soul. On the flip side, ‘Synth First’ takes us to the other end of the underground spectrum. Blurring the lines between deep house & techno, it delivers a stripped down warehouse vibe while still retaining an atmosphere of emotion - a slice of credible and intelligent music.
On remix duties, label boss Just Her adds a new twist to ‘Just The Beginning’, taking the key elements of the original track and working them around a dynamic groove and killer bass line. This one comes in both vocal and dub versions and is aimed squarely at the dance floor.
The final rework comes from Cityfox & Cocoon artist Atelier Francesco. With a penchant for musical storytelling and a depth of production knowledge above the norm, his take on ‘Synth First’ is no exception - a trippy journey through deep soundscapes and complex atmospheres.

And so continues the story of a label built on the foundations of an unquenchable thirst for the underground and a yearning for the sounds of the future, the past and all that emerges in between. Unceasing. Limitless. A constant circle.

Allow us to step up those midsummer evenings with our hottest pulp friction: Antic’s Ton Töpferei debut “Can Believe” features its namesake and the complementary opus “Get Through This”. Rooting in the very midst of our friends at Anjunadeep, their own Dom Furlonge enters the stage in the colors of his already established alter-ego Antic, the third project to his name. The EP’s smoldering bouquet is crafted by Nils Hoffmann who delivers his remix of the title track.

We decided to make a small pressing 12" for So will be now.... Some people wanted to have it on vinyl and we felt a bit sad only having the track in the LP. We decided to include the original LP version and a club revision we did together with Pional  (we mixed again but i'ts pretty similar to the original :p) that will be exlcusive for this vinyl. Comes in a nice gren vinyl, designed by our great friend Arnau Pi. It was mixed by Hannes Vieger in Berlin in Feb'13
