Anyway you want it - Journey

I am a Tacoma, Washington (USA) school teacher.  Like many people who have been playing music but realized there are better ways to make a living and raise a family, I went for a straight job and a basement hobby.

So I spend my evenings in my basement writing and recording songs.  I spend most of my time writing originals that sound like bad Journey, Night Ranger, Styx and the like.  I also cover stuff like 38 special and a few others that seem interesting and singable.  I am always putting out stuff.  If you like this kind of music, I put out a song every 2 weeks to a month.    

I sing, play bass, guitar, keyboards and various drum machines.   I used to put guitar solos on everything, but I try and do what is best for the song now.   I enjoy harmony  vocals and more melody in my music.   I record onto a DPS24 using very good mics, nice pre-amps and compressors (AKGs, Focusrite Reds, Distressors, Avalons).  Next I send it down to a Masterlink.  Last, I master using Apogees, More Focusrite Reds, and TC Electronics.  Finally, the whole song is tossed onto a Tascam 900sl for CD.  I think it all sounds like decent demos.  I have more money then talent, but hey, it's my savings.  And I don't use editing software.  I play everything straight thru.  If it sucks, I play it again.  If it still sucks, well...I guess it just sucks.

All in all, it is not very modern, but since I like it and it is free to you, it is what I keep producing.  Maybe, I will someday  produce something you like.  I may start to cover more Thin Lizzy since the Boys are Back in Town song sounded pretty close to the orginal.  In the mean time, I will continue to add my originals.  I hope you will give some of them a listen.  Although not  up to Classic rock standards - I think they are fun to listen to, and like I said, It's free to you.
