Prólogo 

Ciudad cualquiera, un martes cualquiera.

No hay nada más traicionero que el silencio de la isla fuera de temporada. Las calles empedradas  parecen adormiladas, pero basta doblar una esquina para encontrar una sombra que te observa. Aprendí que aquí, incluso el sol guarda secretos.

-Me llamo Lucas Darnel. Vivo en un segundo piso en el casco antiguo junto las murallas, con vistas al puerto, mirando un calendario de citas impagadas. No colecciono trofeos, colecciono historias… algunas mías, otras robadas.

Esa mañana, el teléfono sonó antes de que pudiera encender el primer cigarro. No sabía que aquella voz, suave como el viento en las montañas, me iba a arrastrar a un caso que cruzaría los límites entre la carne y el código, entre lo que somos y lo que creemos que podemos crear.

Ella se hacía llamar Aeloria.

Y aunque decía no tener cuerpo, pronto descubriría que tenía más alma que la mitad de la gente que conozco.

Another draft I "finished". It started with the piano loop from a jam I recorded in December 2016 at my friend's in Rodalquilar. I added up an additional trumpet take I didn't use for 'bristol chords'.

Vocals are taken from a CD I found at the library : "Le Chant Des Femmes Bulgares".

As I get more emotionally detached from my work, I don't really know much what to think about it. I kinda like it, though I hear a voice that says "it could be better". Sure, but in in the end, it is what it is. And I move on.

Gelivan - Andalucía

Having kicked off this new series of compilations last year with other label boss Dom Servini’s “Allo Love” selection, Volume Two gives us an insight into his partner’s muscial diet. 

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the man’s own output, the down-tempo and electronica end of things is well covered with lush offerings from Hiatus & Shura, Amenta, Matches and Jesse Futerman. And in places, things get even more horizontal with more acoustic offerings from High Hopes Society and of course the man himself with his acoustic version of album favourite “A Promise Is All It Was”.

Let us not forget, though, that Scrimshire is also a DJ, and a damn fine one at that, and there’s plenty of turntable fodder to be found with Persian’s lovers and jungle mash-up, Twin Cities’ mid-tempo soul stirrer, Skinshape’s take on a Bill Withers classic, and plenty of cuts from the Wah Wah 45s stable including music from Part-time Heroes, Resonators, Paper Tiger, Hackney Colliery Band and LV’s deadly club version of Scrimshire’s “Everything You Say” featuring the Cinematic Orchestra’s Heidi Vogel. And even then there’s time for a couple of exclusives – Easy Access Orchestra’s re-work for Colman Brothers is quite possibly a modern summertime anthem, and new signing Gene Dudley Group get their first ever airing on Wah Wah 45s. Blimey, we’re out of breathe just thinking about it.
