The first Campette rode through the hottest heatwave California had experienced in recorded history. Even in the miasma of 110°F heat, I and the whole Envelope Soundsystem crew worked dutifully to keep the system tuned and the woofers alive. (At certain points, we erected a water-filled kiddy pool and were running the mixing desk with half our bodies submerged in the water and turgid plastic.) This set melted together just before sunset following an afternoon spent working in that headache-inducing heat. It's my interpretation of 'cvnty daytime summer camp' — a departure from my usual mood, but one I was drawn to by Campette’s curation of the trans-created haven that is Tan Oak Park. Part records and part digital, this mix comes laced with the manic delusion necessary to keep going even when everything around you feels like it's about to go up in flames.

Mixed with a DJM-900NXS2, 2x Pioneer PLX-1000 turntables, and 2x CDJ-2000NXS2.
