“DoTheDo” Shows his veteran UK DJ and producer signature techhouse sound as he twists up a blend of dark tech tribal rhythms. This is true tribal techhouse music in the sense that the keys, the kick, and the claps, layered with quality drums make up the rhythm nicely. There is a sprinkle of horns that ride along building the energy with the eerily beautiful lead, giving the track a unique tech house appeal. “Rockos Groove” is more of a primetime techhouse vibe with a jackin tech feel. Its groove shuffling skewed synth, complex techy swingin percussion, layered in thick drums and bass heavy bounce bring the heat. Tony’s breakdown midway thru the track strips the music even further building the energy for the peak of the song, where it just becomes the most basic elements of dance music: drums, bass, and voice utilized perfectly. You can see why his sound really packs a full dance floor punch. “Vection” is a funky techno rhythm and smooth techhouse feel rolled into one dancefloor hit! This original is an attention grabber with a smoothly shifting bass line, subversive depths of dark cerebral techno sounds with rumbling echoes of resonating converged vocal snips twists into strange soundscapes. This upswing experiment is still heavily swamped with dub effects that does a great job of balancing dub techno purism with real techhouse sounds. Tony’s wicked drums and percussion layout, complete its dark groovy tecno vibe. This is a complete ep that will keep you energized.
