Parly B first held the mic as a teenager in the 90s, inspired by dancehall legends such as Capleton, Papa San and Cutty Ranks. He got involved with his local scene in Doncaster mainly hosting Jungle nights, so he is as much at home in a rave as in a dancehall session. In fact, he only burst into the dub and reggae scene relatively recently, but with a vibe and distinctive sound that producers are hungry for, so he has quickly amassed a large catalogue. Scotch Bonnet Records felt it was time to put together a collection of his work on the label and it was hard to decide what to leave out.

Here at Scotch Bonnet Records we love Reggae music's rich heritage. Not only is it is as strong today as it ever has been, soundsystem culture has now spread to every corner of the world. To celebrate this we have compiled a few musically important releases from some of the key musicians and producers that have influenced and nourished Scotch Bonnet records since the start. Knowing where to start was hard, but we have grappled with the slippery beast of personal taste and settled on tracks that we can all proudly stand behind. Some have appeared on single, some are dubs that Mungo’s Hi Fi couldn’t stop playing on the Soundsystem, and there are some brand new pieces to keep it crispy fresh. The end result is Puffers Choice.

The very first 12" release on NICE UP! to mark the 10th release of the label (NICEUP006 was a pair of trainers, how very Tony Wilson!) and the very first drum and bass release on the label. Fresh from rocking crowds around Belgium, as well as festivals and clubs across the whole of Europe, Turntable Dubbers (aka Timaxx & Drezz) step it up a gear with these 2 blistering DnB workouts. First up, a classic reggae cut gets amped up to breakneck speed with a little help from a Hospital Records superstar who wishes to remain unknown.

Over on the flip, Lindy Layton and Prezident Brown get together on top of a beefed up Bubbler Riddim, with enough drops to get all rudeboys and rudegirls hands in the air. Already getting props from Digital Soundboy's Benny Page amongst others, these are sure to be heard on dancefloors and in fields this summer and beyond.

Tony began his career djing and scratching at the local youth club. A couple of decades of touring and producing later he began releasing Drum & Bass as one half of Future Prophecies and signed to labels like Dj Fresh`s Breakbeat Kaos, Moving Shadow and Ganja Records. He has worked with countless artists ranging from Mike Patton and Jamelia to norwegian jazz royalties Nils Petter Molvær and Bugge Wesseltoft, and is as versatile as he is creative. Now a whole new generation has discovered the bass music scene, and someone needs to show them their roots. Before most people knew what drum & bass was, Tony was rinsing out alongside DJ’s like Pendulum, Chase & Status, Sub Focus, Camo & Krooked, Teebee, Grooverider and Adam F, championing the sound of dnb in venues from Brixton to Siberia. 
Now he has prepared a monster set showcasing where this flavour of drum & bass has been and where it’s headed with dubs, anthems and exclusive material from Future Prophecies and their contemporaries as well as more recent productions with Axl Ender, erb N dub, Malux, Gydra, Doctor & junglist Psychofreud. Check out his latest releases on labels like Technique, Bad Taste, Rasta Vibez, Fokuz, Elevate & Down 2 Earth Muzik.
