Something for the Weekend

Born in 1969, Jemaho started playing music in 1983. Being one of the first who introduced House Music to a larger public in Belgium he had opportunities to play in legendary clubs like The Café D'Anvers or The Catacombes. He's now known for his infamous Nova Casa Jazz and the latter One15 Sessions. Jemaho is also the brain behind Jazzy Butterfly Records, a digital label that tends to prove that real Deep and House Music can also survive in this digital world. He has also, as a producer, releases on Xoom Recordings, Major League House, Série Limitée, Pocket Money and others!

The name Carnaval Sessions comes from a personal journey inspired by Haruki Murakami’s visit to Copenhagen, where he read the story Carnaval from First Person Singular. This sparked a deeper connection, leading me to explore Schumann’s Carnaval, performed by Rubinstein, as mentioned in the story. Just like how Murakami’s tale weaves together music and introspection, this show delves into the mysteries that music uncovers. Through sound, we transcend the everyday and enter a world where our dreams, thoughts, and fantasies come to life.
