With Applause V.A. Vol. 2, Matteo — founder and artistic director of the label — continues the curatorial work begun in 2023: “to capture a living and moving ecosystem,” at the intersection of local, diasporic, and international club scenes. This new compilation brings together a selection of emerging and established artists from Europe, Africa, and the diasporas, offering a sonic landscape that’s percussive, hybrid, and emotional. Artem, DJ Travella, Blck Mamba, Dariiofox, Lorkestra, Marge, and Hey Bony all showcase unique perspectives on contemporary club music — balancing raw intensity with rhythmic nuance.

Designed as much for DJ sets as for deeper listening, the compilation reflects Applause’s DNA: a curatorial and inclusive space, connecting underground communities, global aesthetics, and multifaceted identities. Among the standout moments, Leyka’s Beli—DJ and producer affiliated with Drama and Nuit Brune collectives—embodies that sense of freedom. Led by a baile funk- inspired vocal, the track fuses Bass Music, Jersey Club, and raw rhythms into a spontaneous, high-energy blend built for unrestrained movement on the dancefloor.

Following the impact of their EP Hit & Run —hailed by Mixmag as a release that “explores the darker side of Latin club” with guaracha, high-speed reggaeton, and monstrous bass music— Colombian producers CRRDR and BRENDA return to the floor with a new chapter: an 8-track remix pack featuring exclusive reinterpretations from some of the most exciting talents in the global scene.

The rework lineup includes otro hombre, Despierte, cubv, mije, Lustpointer, Etereal Kev, Dieglitter, and TB-316, each taking the originals into fresh sonic territory — from industrial perreo and mutant club to hybrid bass and high-BPM experiments.

With this release, TRAMPA continues to push the boundaries of Latin electronic music into darker, riskier, and more global spaces. The Remix Pack drops this August, accompanied by exclusive visual content and special live performances.

Was it just me or OMAAR's 'Progressive Tribes' was one of the standout tracks of the previous decade? Fusing the raw intensity of hard drum with Mexican producer's percussive finesse, it certainly hit all the right notes to be a DJs' favourite club tool. Years went by and OMAAR kept on delivering the rumbling goodies, regularly enriching the catalogue of NAAFI with his trademark sound.
