It’s always a pleasure diving into the deeper corners of the 3000 family, and this latest drop on 3000 Deep sees the heavyweight pairing of DJ Pencil & The Cut Up Boys join forces with Jemz for a standout double drop that oozes character. With two originals on display, we see the pair
leaning heavily into the darker, moodier side of garage-inspired sound design.

We kick off with ‘Stay With Me’, a glowing combination of bubbling chord progressions and moody sub tones, topped with Jemz’s euphoric vocal layers. The cut’s crunchy 2-step drum textures and choppy rhythmic patterns keep the energy bubbling throughout, making it a proper roller for the late-night hours. On the flip, ‘Let’s Go Dancing’ switches the mood entirely, diving into eerie vocal overlays and a slower halftime drum design, with booming LFO-driven bass textures adding a truly haunted undertone.

This is a seriously weighty outing that shows just how versatile 3000 Deep drops can be, and one that’s bound to do damage across underground dances.

Diffshock & C4GE - Forest Walk [Premiere]

Alternative R&B singer India Shawn has spent the last 15 years writing songs for artists such as Monica, Solange and Chris Brown. Now, the LA-based vocalist and songwriter steps more fully into her solo material. In this exclusive commentary, India discusses the making of her latest tracks, including “Kill Switch” and “Cotton Candy Blvd,” her collaboration with Lucky Daye. Of her latest track, “Gone,” she explains how the song is about the self-esteem that comes with the realization that you’re the one who “brought the magic” to your relationships, and “finding peace and acceptance with that.” She adds, “It’s one of the coolest songs I’ve ever made.” Hear more from India Shawn, only on SoundCloud.
