For our next release of 2023, we’re back with a label debut from an artist we’ve been keeping an eye on for a while now, none other than Stoke-On-Trent’s very own DJ and producer, Eden Prince, who lands on Toolroom’s Trax imprint with brand-new single, ‘Take It To The Rhythm’.

Growing up in London, Eden’s passion for music production began as a child when he stumbled across beat-making software while looking for games on his cousin's computer. After constantly being caught sneaking into his school studios after-hours to work on hip-hop beats, Eden’s music teacher persuaded him to go to Leeds College of Music, where he honed in on his skills and developed a real taste for House music.

With a locker full of remixes, over 250 million+ streams on Spotify and plenty of originals on labels including Mad Decent, Ultra, Atlantic, D4 D4NCE and Solotoko, it seems he’s only just getting started. Born from one of Toolroom’s infamous writing camps, ‘Take It To The Rhythm’ is a crisp and energetic cut featuring robust drums, a rumbling low-end, perky percussion and a powerful bass hook with exciting breaks and builds throughout; another club groover that is going to go off in 2023!

Desde criança que sou fascinado por música. Aos 10 anos, em 2014, comecei a mixar, explorando tudo o que fosse música eletrónica. Hoje em dia centro-me no Techno, este tornou-se a minha paixão e passou a fazer parte da minha vida. A minha jornada levou-me a tocar em algumas festas, sempre com o objetivo de aperfeiçoar o meu som e transmitir a intensa energia da música eletrónica.

Ao longo dos anos, fui aperfeiçoando as minhas técnicas de mixagem, explorando os meus próprios talentos e criando sets que combinam o poder com a energia ao máximo. Hoje, continuo a expandir o meu trabalho, melhorando cada vez mais o meu som único, sempre à procura de novas experiências e projetos para elevar ainda mais a cena da música eletrónica nos Açores e pelo mundo fora.

Cristiano Gonzalez, known by his stage name GONZO, is an up-and-coming DJ and producer hailing from the Inland Empire.
