Scruby has since been supported by label head Mark Knight in his live and radio sets, so to see a full release on Toolroom Trax is dedication to Scruby’s hardwork, talent and growth as an artist who has become another strong member of our Gen Z community.

Italian artist Alessandro Magani, aka Flashmob, continues to assert himself as a beacon of undeniable influence when it comes to the modern house landscape, charting multiple club hits, an extensive back catalogue including releases via Toolroom, Hot Creations, & Kompakt, and heading up two eponymous record labels. Pairing up with Brighton-based Oxylion & Danger, a rising duo who launched onto the scene with a bootleg of Flashmob’s seminal ‘Need In Me’, the trio of talents make their debut on Junior Jack’s Adesso Music with the sure-fire smash ‘Serious’.

‘Serious’ is a no-holds-barred peak-time house track. Female spoken word samples serve as a call to the dancefloor and ring out atop shuffling drums, raved-up stabs and rumbling low-end that operates throughout.

Spanish producer Sowel first caught our ears with the thunderous "Comfort Zone" on David Tort's HOTL imprint. Despite only being a couple of years into releasing, his club-focussed productions show his 10+ years of DJ-ing experience. His debut for us, "Work This", takes this underground approach up a level with hooky vocal samples and an infectious beat. It's the kind of tech house we love right now: tough and driving yet bouncy and fun.

Dropping his unique sound of chunky, bumpy house music is Italian artist Qubiko on Toolroom Trax with more of the sounds people have fallen in love with him for. Qubiko’s music has been released by a who’s who of house music label, such as Defected, Club Sweat, Edible, Solotoko, King Street Sounds, Hottrax, the list goes on. It’s clear to see Qubiko is held in high regard by all label A&R’s and DJ’s as someone who can deliver house music in its highest quality time and time again. Since releasing his first record back in 2012, Qubiko has continued to evolve with today’s dancefloors but hasn’t lost his unique sound, style and upmost quality that he has become synonymous for. 

‘Dark Side’ reflects Qubiko’s signature style of feel-good energy with playful rhythms and grooves. The track begins with the Dark Side vocal loop that’s easy to get stuck in your head alongside cleverly programmed synth hits and riffs.

It’s another chunky Tech House drop from Dario Nunez as he releases ‘Let The Groove’ on Toolroom Trax. Dario Nunez is connecting well with DJs as he continues to climb high in the Tech House charts across Beatport & Traxsource with numerous top 10’s on Toolroom Trax, HUGEL’s Make The Girls Dance and Claptone’s Golden Recordings proving that DJs are resonating with his signature big room energy.

Dario’s a firm favourite of label boss Mark Knight and ‘Let The Groove’ has been a tried and tested staple in his DJ sets over the winter. Dario Nunez has become a stand-out Toolroom Trax regular and the label looks forward to releasing more music from him this year.

Draxx (ITA) slides comfortably within the Toolroom Trax roster with more of his signature Latin influenced Tech House that he’s fast become familiar for. He has garnered tons of live support from Vintage Culture, Hot Since 82, Mau P, Nicole Moudaber, Cloonee and many more across all his releases on the likes of Hellbent, Sola, Elrow, Moon Harbour, In Rotation and more, which only highlights his undeniable ability to connect with DJ’s and dancefloors. It’s clear to see that Draxx (ITA) is an artist bubbling under, and it’s been a long time coming that he makes his Toolroom debut, and with ‘Jump’ he does so quite naturally.
