Eats Everything turns in a three-track EP of high energy jams, celebrating the short-lived but iconic
‘Hardbag’ genre from the mid 90s, with all three featuring vocalist Frankco Harris, a performer and host from NYC. 
“Hardbag, a style of music championed by Tony De Vit, Jon Of The Pleased Wimmin, Burger Queen, The Sharp Boys and many many others, was the antithesis of ‘handbag’ house which was popular in the cheesy clubs at the time. Super tough, super fun, largely queer-centric tongue in cheek music that was purely for the dancefloor and didn’t take itself too seriously all the while being absolutely mint (to me anyway). These tracks are for the party, they are for inclusivity & they are not meant to be taken too seriously.” - Eats Everything Kicking off with ‘Bobby And Ken’, Harris’ vocals float atop a punchy instrumental, incorporating shuffling, garage-esque drums, squelchy basslines, and off-kilter FX. ‘Coming For You’ is a high energy affair, bringing pounding percussion, bouncy low end, and high pitched leads to the table, before ‘Wallop (Better Than TheRest)’ brings the EP to a close with rave stabs, grinding build-ups, and cheeky vocal hooks.

We might be halfway through 2023 already, but Toolroom are still kicking out the club heat for their 20th year in the game. Up next on the firm, is the return of longstanding label favourite Friend Within with his rolling Tech House banger ‘Pilka’. Having landed 2 of the hottest tracks on Toolroom last year with ‘Monkey Bars’ and ‘Bring It Down’ which saw sweeping support flood in from across the scene, including Paul Woolford (Special Request, Salute, LF System, Dom Dolla and many more, Friend Within is officially back for 2023!

An artist who is already had a belter of a year, having dropped releases on underground club imprints Unknown To The Unknown and Shall Not Fade locked in already this year, alongside an outing on Noizu’s imprint Techne, it’s safe to say that Friend Within is a prolific producer

With Summer well and truly underway, Toolroom are set to unveil the hotly anticipated return of renowned Glaswegian artist KC Lights, as he delivers yet another classic record in the making – ‘Better Times’, featuring the stunning voice of Merseyside-hailing Låpsley. A debut collaboration for the pair, as they drop a sun-soaked, cut of Disco infused House that will undoubtedly soundtrack the long summer evenings to come in 2023.

A label favourite in every sense of the word, KC Lights is most-known for his 2020 smash-hit ‘Girl’, a record you couldn’t switch off from throughout that summer, followed up by his classy cut ‘Cold Light’ the following year with reputable vocalist and songwriter Leo Stannard, who also appeared on his summertime anthem ‘Daydreamer’. Back on the firm, French DJ and producer Tony Romera teams up with fast rising Spanish sensation Crusy drop their debut collaboration, 'Attracted,' on Toolroom. Every now and again a collaboration comes along that just blows you away… and this next one to land on Toolroom does just that. Introducing Sola regulars and one of the freshest, most exciting dance music duos to come out of the UK in recent years, Maur who lock horns with chart topping US based Westend, for a label debut set to become 2023’s festival anthem - ‘Over’.

A huge coming together for both artists who have been making waves on the worldwide club circuit over the past few years, with Maur racking up some seriously impressive numbers across all DSP’s recently with ‘Deep Inside’, sitting on a cool 14m streams on Spotify and their Solardo collab ‘Power’ sitting just shy of 10m streams, whilst Westend’s outing on Armada Subjekt ‘Let Me Take You’ has hit 14m pairs of ears also. Up next, Toolroom welcome LA based DJ and producer Noizu to the label, debuting with his remix of Mark Knight, Green Velvet and Rene Amesz – ‘Live Stream’. One of the most in-demand DJs right now, after scoring critical acclaim with his nostalgic Piano House banger ‘Summer 91 (Looking Back)’, which saw huge success for the artist back in 2020, catapulting Noizu to the very top of festival bills and tours around the world. Along with a series of releases on Black Book, Insomniac, Process Records and his own Techne imprint, Noizu has firmly planted himself as one of the most exciting acts in dance music today and his remix of ‘Live Stream’ is testament to that.

Diving deep and pulling up a Toolroom classic from the 2016 archives, Noizu delivers a powerful rendition of ‘Live Stream’, ramping up the energy of the original to a whole new level, cutting it fresh for dance floors in 2023.

What do you do when you're trapped in a tour bus for 30 hours on the way from Vancouver to San Francisco? Well, you make the most of your time and create something amazing! Spontaneous, creative, and full of energy, the Fckng Serious Artists Boris Brejcha, Deniz Bul, and Moritz Hofbauer used their time on the tour bus during the North America Tour 2023 to collaborate on a track. The initiator and co-producer of this project is none other than videographer and long-time label friend Kevin Kaczynski, who was able to express his musical passion through this track. Adding the cherry on top in the form of a vocal part is Denise, a colleague and label friend. This new song is meant to be a little surprise for all the fans and friends of the label, just like it was a surprise for the entire label when Boris Brejcha played it as the last song in his set at Coachella. We hope you have fun listening and dancing to it!

Landing back on the firm during our 20th Birthday celebrations is none other than Danny Howard, who returns to the label with a beefed up edit of a Toolroom classic – ‘Hear What They Hear’ by Adrian Hour. A secret weapon for DJs worldwide, released back in 2016 on Adrian Hour’s ‘Like This’ EP, this B Side became an unlikely hero that still gets hammered today by the likes of John Summit and Eats Everything. As any fan of Toolroom would know, Adrian Hour is a legendary part of the firm who embodies the true underground spirit that the label prides itself on.

Danny Howard himself is a DJ and producer who needs no introduction, radio personality for BBC Radio 1’s Dance Party, label head of Nothing Else Matters and Ibiza resident, Danny Howard has gone from strength to strength throughout his career. With a string of hits from Sonny Fodera’s Solotoko imprint, Ministry of Sound and of course Toolroom to name a few, Danny Howard returns with a solid edit of ‘Hear What They Say’. After doing the rounds at Glastonbury festival this year and beyond, Danny's update has turned one record with a solid dance floor reputation into a certified slammer!
