Prolific Polish duo Catz ‘n Dogz return to DFTD with ‘Fired Up’, featuring Dope Earth Alien’s unmistakeable vocal. The house, disco and electro DJs and producers have just celebrated two decades of chart-topping releases and international shows with a special remix compilation on their own label, ‘20 Years Of Catz ‘n Dogz’ on Pets Recordings; the label bosses are also heading to Defected Croatia 2024 for an anniversary boat party like no other. Following their two-track DFTD releases ‘Inner Revelation’ and ‘No Regrets’ in 2020 and 2021 respectively, Greg and Voitek return to the London club label with prolific dance vocalist Dope Earth Alien; also a DFTD returnee following recent club hits ‘That Sound’ with Deeper Purpose & GUZ and ‘Tempo’ with OFFAIAH. For ‘Fired Up’, Dope Earth Alien’s signature vocal flow is heavily manipulated over driving rhythms and heavy bass synths, creating a powerful and techy outing on DFTD while showcasing a darker side to Catz ‘n Dogz.

Toolroom head honcho Mark Knight is known for bringing through the next generation of Toolroom stars and does so here as he introduces James Haskell to the main label. James has been on a rapid rise to greatness over the past 2 years after graduating from a Toolroom Academy production course, releasing on Toolroom Trax and racking up plenty of high profile gigs along the way. This record was a vision of James’ for some time and as soon as Mark head an early demo, he absolutely loved it and jumped at the chance of wrapping it up with James in the studio!

Yuuki Yoshiyama has toured the world over with his big room sound through Asia and South America, sharing stages with global superstars such as FISHER, Eric Prydz, Mark Knight, MEDUZA, James Hype the list goes on. It’s clear to see that Yuuki has some serious mainstage presence.

This Maltese tech house maestro really has seen his career go from strength to strength in a huge way over the past 18 months. Collaborations with Low Steppa, Tony Romera, Matt Sassari and James Hurr are all confirmed and he has recently been hitting the decks across Australia, Asia, Canada, Ibiza and beyond. He is slowly carving out a real ‘sound’ within the scene, in a time when breaking through the noise is incredibly difficult, this is to the credit of his elite level production prowess and flawless DJ skills!

This track certainly fits into that ‘club banger’ category. Big drums, a seriously funky bassline and some tongue-in-cheek lyrics to raise a smile on those dance floors. This one comes with early and heavy support from Dombresky and Mark Knight!
