Ramping it up another gear, London-based Deep House duo Saison cut through the noise on their latest release, landing hot on the label with ‘Addiction’. Heading straight for the dance floor, Saison drop a rolling Tech House number that delivers on all it promises, a highly addictive record to get you moving.

Having made moves already this year with x2 cuts on Toolroom’s own Trax imprint ‘Drop It’ and ‘Never Ever’, Saison land with one last groove before we roll into 2023. The duo has made a solid name for themselves in the scene with their flawless and intricate productions, with releases on Future Disco and their own imprint No Fuss records, plus a solid collaboration with Low Steppa on DFTD, Saison are an act shaking things up in 2022.

Back to their latest outing on Toolroom, Saison drop ‘Addiction’, feeding into the sound of the underground with a deep, resounding rhythm that drives the record through to those early morning dance floor moments. With a sultry vocal hook and finely tuned synth stabs throughout, this one is primed and ready to slam any sound system it’s played through.

Known to the tax man as Glyne Brathwaite, DJ and producer Risk Assessment has been a face on the London scene since the early 90’s. A regular behind the decks at Fabric and Ministry of Sound, he also ran his own promotions outfit, working with seminal imprints like MAW Records, King Street Music and BBE. The soulful, disco-leaning productions under his Risk Assessment alias have become dancefloor staples. ‘Remember Me’, originally released on Saison’s No Fuss Records, sees him collaborate with Toronto songstress Jemeni G, whose mystic vocals recount tales of Studio 54, self-expression and long nights spent on the dancefloor. The record makes a perfect fit for the Glitterbox imprint’s catalogue of evergreen dance music, and now comes with two remixes from two of the genre’s brightest stars. Up first, French producer, composer and Partyfine label manager Yuksek delivers his stripped back and sublimely executed remix. Up next, one of the Glitterbox roster’s own, Natasha Kitty Katt, makes her label debut as she takes the track to the deeper recesses of the dancefloor, with an intensified wandering bassline and melodic keys.

Following second vinyl EP from label head honcho himself Giuseppe Scarano, including a heavy-hitting remix by the Chi house legend Paul Johnson, the newborn and rising Italian label NICEPEOPLE announces its second digital release and the return to the music scene of the Italian talent Soulvibe Inc., who after a 4 years hiatus from his first EP, ‘Satisfy My Soul’, is back with ‘Inside To Outside’, a killer dancefloor 2-track EP.

The opening and eponymous track, ‘Inside To Outside’, is a disco-tinged cut, that seems to come straight from the 90’s and from the best French house tradition, as well as for the second track, ‘Funk It Up’, which boasts an infectious groove, that will get for sure the party started. Definitely not a set-filler. This is club dynamite!
