Turning up the heat for this next release, London based producer RETNA returns to the label with none other than Toolroom’s head honcho Mark Knight as the pair deliver ‘What I Need’, a debut collab that’ll carve up dance floors worldwide in 2022 for sure. 

Having made his debut back in 2020, as part of our ‘Toolroom Miami’ album series, RETNA himself, is the London based DJ and producer fast making a name for himself in the scene. Catching the attention of Mark Knight and Saved Records owner Nic Fanciulli through his tight productions, especially on their 2021 collab – ‘This Is Life’ which smashed dance floors worldwide, RETNA’s signature sound that the buzzing producer is fast becoming known for.

Up next on Toolroom, international DJ, producer, and label founder Mark Knight teams up with rapidly rising talent Crusy for a staunch collaboration 'Daddy Shhh'. A fiery club heavy cut, focusing on Toolroom's founders speciality of Tribal Tech House, 'Daddy Shhh' is a record made for the dance floor specifically. Hitting the ground running and ready to get the dancefloor moving once more, James Hurr returns to our Toolroom Trax imprint, this time teaming up with Tasty Lopez for the fresh club banger that is 'Til We Break It Down'. After dropping a slew of successful releases on Love & Other, Perfect Havoc, Glasgow Underground and Armada, James Hurr is on a mission in 2022 for releasing consistent, top-quality tracks in quick succession. Australian singer, songwriter and DJ, Tasty Lopez is best known for her vocals on Mark Knight's hit single 'All 4 Love' with Rene Amesz, accumulating more than 15 million streams since its release in 2020. Together, Tasty Lopez and James Hurr bring a fresh raw energy to 'Til We Break It Down' showcasing James' signature production techniques with Tasty's distinctive vocals. Expect infectious bassline, tight percussion, intense risers, hypnotic vocals and a commanding underlying groove throughout.

We welcome back label favourite, Siege, to Toolroom Trax this autumn with his brand-new single, ‘Waiting’. A long-standing member of the Toolroom family, Siege has had a multifaceted career with tracks signed to Saved, Circus, We Are The Brave, Truesoul and Strictly Rhythm garnering support from heavyweights Jax Jones, Leftwing : Kody, Danny Howard and TCTS, culminating in shows at distinguished venues across the globe including Studio 338, Eden Ibiza, Motion Bristol, The Pickle Factory and Chicago Social Club in Amsterdam. 

His latest career venture has seen him work closely with the Toolroom Academy on a series of sample packs and most recently, his own course, ‘Big Room Tech House’, which offers a definitive tutorial on how to make that signature sound that Toolroom is famed for. ‘Waiting’ is a track that was born out of, and developed, throughout the course and when label boss, Mark Knight, heard it, he signed it instantly for Toolroom’s Trax imprint. From the organic nature in which the track came to fruition, it was decided to set up a remix competition to all the students on the course, with the winner going on to be featured on the final product, and we are pleased to announce that the winning remix, hand-chosen by Siege himself, is from Swiss DJ and producer, Nick Harvey. 

As you would expect from Siege, ‘Waiting’ is a straight-up dancefloor groover radiating that infamous, big-room energy from the get-go! Nick’s remix offers a slightly deeper, more melodic take on the original with more subtle textures and moody atmospherics resulting in a dusky roller produced with the dancefloor in mind. Enjoy!

Ramping it up another gear, London-based Deep House duo Saison cut through the noise on their latest release, landing hot on the label with ‘Addiction’. Heading straight for the dance floor, Saison drop a rolling Tech House number that delivers on all it promises, a highly addictive record to get you moving.

Having made moves already this year with x2 cuts on Toolroom’s own Trax imprint ‘Drop It’ and ‘Never Ever’, Saison land with one last groove before we roll into 2023. The duo has made a solid name for themselves in the scene with their flawless and intricate productions, with releases on Future Disco and their own imprint No Fuss records, plus a solid collaboration with Low Steppa on DFTD, Saison are an act shaking things up in 2022.

Back to their latest outing on Toolroom, Saison drop ‘Addiction’, feeding into the sound of the underground with a deep, resounding rhythm that drives the record through to those early morning dance floor moments. With a sultry vocal hook and finely tuned synth stabs throughout, this one is primed and ready to slam any sound system it’s played through.

We welcome back a label favourite on Trax this December, from none other than rising UK DJ and producer, James Haskell, with brand new single, ‘Reachin’.

Hot on the heels of his last release on the label back in September, Haskell returns to Toolroom’s legendary sister imprint with another slice of Tech House gold. Having been on the live DJ circuit for the past nine years, James has played and headlined at a whole host of amazing venues across the globe, from Café Mambo in Ibiza to Soho Garden in Dubai and Ministry of Sound in London.

His latest productions on Trax were also supported by a multitude of A-List DJs including TCTS, David Guetta, Leftwing : Kody, Noizu, Wh0, DJ S.K.T and more, with the release going on to reach the no.1 spot in Beatport’s Top 100 Tech House Releases. ‘Reachin’ looks set to reach similar heights with its heavyweight House drums, infectious bassline, rolling percussion and catchy vocal hooks uttering the tracks title throughout.
