Up next on Toolroom, label founder Mark Knight is set to put a smile on your face as he drops his first release of 2023 ‘Make You Happy’, with legendary House DJ and producer Todd Terry and the Darryl James & David Anthony Project. Diving straight back into that classic 90’s House sound, Mark Knight delivers a taste of his finest production too date after unearthing Todd Terry’s edit of ‘Buddah’ by Darryl James & David Anthony Project, shaping up a seriously killer reworking of this gem fresh for the dance floor in 2023.

Of course, bonafide House music legend Todd Terry needs no introduction, an artist who helped define New York House music back in the 80’s with his signature production stylings and penchant for all things House Music. Back on the label after 9 years, DJ, producer and Toolroom Academy tutor Pete Griffiths drops what can only be described as a House anthem in the making, with his brand-new track ‘Get Together’. A peak time record that sees Pete Griffiths dive deep into the sound of 90’s nostalgia, dropping a seriously well-produced and classy House banger.

Of course, Griffiths has a long-standing history with the label, A&Ring some of Toolroom's most prolific records as well as playing the brand's most electric and memorable live shows as an adept, resident DJ.

‘Get Together’ itself, is an ode to the euphoric highs of the 90’s rave scene, mixing a deep, emotional swell of Piano House with a bass line that will evoke nothing but good memories of Gat Decors – ‘Passion’, and a rolling rhythm that drives the record forwards; Pete Griffiths fully embraces his roots on this one. Also featuring on the record is American R&B, Gospel vocalist Ann Nesby, formerly the lead vocalist of the Sounds of Blackness ensemble who brings her powerful vocals to the forefront, elevating this release to anthemic status.

Up next on the firm, is the return of longstanding label favourite Friend Within with his rolling Tech House banger ‘Pilka’. Having landed 2 of the hottest tracks on Toolroom last year with ‘Monkey Bars’ and ‘Bring It Down’ which saw sweeping support flood in from across the scene, including Paul Woolford (Special Request, Salute, LF System, Dom Dolla and many more, Friend Within is officially back for 2023!
