As we enter our tenth year of releasing music we are asking DJ's and Artists that have been associated with us over the years to pick ten tracks from our back catalogue of over 80 releases and 300 tracks that they think best represents what Top Drawer Digital means to them.

Tariq has been a friend and supporter of the label pretty much from the start. I first met him at a Birmingham FM radio station studio where he interviewed me and we found a shared love in Forward thinking Old Skool Vibed music.

He later joined me in the running of The Future Jungle Blog where for years he tirelessly helped push the sound of the underground to new listeners.

Now a writer for many Blogs including The Free Breaks Blog and Life Support Machine , Radio DJ and Podcast Producer he continues to break new exciting underground music of many styles.

We couldn't think of anyone better to curate Volume 01 and a glad to present you with these 10 tracks and a mix that showcase a very rave edged  selection from the Top Drawer Digital Records and Sister label Bass Elements Back Catalogue.

Adrián López conocido por los amigos como "Dj 4dR1" o recientemente como "LooP-eZ" enfocado al mundillo de la producción musical (AMATER!).

Oyente habitual y seguidor de la música electrónica, centrados en el Breakbeat, sobretodo con el Old School Hard-core, Uk Garage, Drum And Bass y algo H.Breaks (Siempre buscando aires Retro).

Nací en 1990 y a los 9 años descubrí a un grupo de Breakbeat de la época, los míticos Sigma 7, gracias a mi hermano y a compañeros de clase con las cintas de cassette y aquellos walkmans.

Desde ese momento quedé fascinado con las cajas de breakbeat, las melodías y ritmos de los sintetizadores y pianos tan bailables y pegadizos, y surgió el boom del Hardcore en Tenerife, muchos productores dándose a conocer en el mundillo de la producción y otros destacando por sus destrezas con los platos y generosas colecciónes de vinilos, aunque ya desde el 89-90 se introducía bastante música por la zona turística del Sur de Tenerife, recién traida de Londres, llegando hasta la actualidad, haciendo que este género suene a día de hoy en muchas fiestas y con carteles de fiestas recordando los locales míticos (lástima haberme perdido aquellas fiestas) y con las técnicas de entonces, Puro Vinilo!

En mi caso sólo trato de hacer mezclas o producciones con sonidos de esa década, los 90s! Espero que les gusten estos sonidos y siempre abierto a críticas!

DJ Goblin caught the vibe of electronic music as far back as 1994, when the movement known as "rave" dominated the underground music of those times. He started collecting cassettes and CDs, constantly seeking to learn more and develop on the basics of this style. After experimenting with old-school breakbeat and jungle, Goblin found his passion for the style that would become his trademark: drum & bass. He made his debut as a DJ in 2003, mixing songs for his first parties. Since then, as a member of the local Koalition Crew, he organized and participated in events aimed at promoting electronic music in Galati, and become famous as one of the trend-setting local performers. Since 2005, he started mixing songs at parties countrywide, and participated in newsworthy events in main Romanian cities including Iasi, Timisoara, Bucharest, Deva, and Tg. Mures. His musical background and experience recommend Goblin as the go-to-guy for drum & bass parties.
