Hot off the heels of his recent debut album release, 'Standing Right Here', Vienna's Mannix reveals the first of his new Dafia Records releases for 2022, with a new song featuring Morris Revy, loaded with a poignant message, 'Hope'. Oozing with class, 'Hope' is a deeply soulful outing and full of optimism, as Morris' comforting vocal tones glide over a funky backdrop of first-rate live musicianship. Featuring an array of quality mixes from Mannix, including a fierce Disco Dub and Dubstrumental, 'Hope' also features reworks from fellow Disco heads, Qwestlife (aka Andy Williams / Yam Who? & Tom Laroye), who deliver an irresistible groovy slab of underground Disco, injecting a sublime whizzy key solo.

Mannix has been one of Vienna’s most prominent house music pioneers since he first started DJing back in the early 90’s. in 1999 he formed Whipped Creem together with DJ Krismas and DJ Wax. Since then Mannix went on to be a producer, promoter and music journalist, releasing tracks on AM:PM, Go Beat, Generate Music, Soundmen On Wax, Polydor and V2. Later, Mannix and Wax formed a new funky house project Double Jackpot and also presented the successful radio show 'Crystal Radio' on 98.3 Superfly FM. In 2012 Mannix started working on solo material alongside long time studio mate, Albert Koler. His notable releases include remixes for Mousse T.'s 'Maybe In May' (Peppermint Jam) and Arnold Jarvis' 'Rising Into Joy' (Black Vinyl). He’s also released on Midnight Riot, Tropical Disco, Re-Loved, See-Saw, Slightly Transformed and Love Harder. 2021 saw the launch of Mannix's own new label DAFIA Records, an outlet for his own productions featuring collaborations with Lee Wilson, Dina Vass, Roldy Cezaire, Fiona Barbier, Andre Espeut and Jaidene Veda, among others, along with his acclaimed debut album release 'Standing Right Here'.

French and British up and coming artists Gamys & Alex Moretto met at Point Blank Music School where they were both studying Music Production & Sound Engineering. Being friends for over a year and sharing the same passion for House music, they've always wanted to work on a track together. Control was born back at the time of lockdowns and covid tests where both artists felt the need to express the way they were feeling at the time. Starting from that vocal sample 'I'm loosing Control' that resonated with how they were feeling at the time regarding of covid, the 2 artists starting to work together on this track in Gamys' previous home studio in Shoreditch, London. In about 3 nights of work, the idea of the track was there. Even though they've worked with a singer afterwards to re-record the vocal, Gamys & Alex decided to keep the original vocal sample that has this energy to it and blends well between Gamys' funkiness and Alex's techy aesthetics.
