For our 10th edition of our SYLPCAST we invited cologne based Philo & Aino DJ from the précey collective. They start their mix with some punchy breaks followed by progressive and trancy vibez just before they add some bouncy and shaky techno. It is a mix full of dreamy melodies and percussive rhythms. Now some more infos about the artists in general:

During a year in France, Aino DJ finally got the courage to step behind a turntable and started mixing for fun. Since then, she has played in clubs like Gewölbe and Jaki and has made first steps outside of Cologne with gigs at Melt Festival and Silbergold, Frankfurt.
The cologne based DJ brings a selections of a whole variety of different subgenres, always rooted in a dynamic mixture of electro and breaks. She loves to twist her sets into unexpected directions and never just focuses on one genre, unwilling to fulfill expectations regarding the sound she plays.

Philomène Robinne aka Philo proves you don't need decades of experience to understand and push boundaries of a genre. With national and international recognition, Philo's originally vinyl-exclusive selection has evolved over time into a digital hybrid in the pursuit of the best possible sound. Characteristics of her eclectic selection involve rough UK bass, which is somewhere between breakbeat, 4 to the floor, dubby bassbin jungle and footwork, with a splash of classic 90s aswell as house and trance influences according to the maxim " keep moving forward“!  
Not long ago she started producing and released on Headlight Records, Nice & Deadly, nonesuch, Stereo45 and Defrostatica - more to come soon!  In 2021, together with Marie Montexier, Aino DJ and No:elia, she founded the event series Précey, which focuses on female and non-binary artists to push the scene in Cologne.  She also hosts her radio show on jungletrain.net monthly on Wednesday from 10:30pm (CET).

Die DJ-Szene in Köln ist immer noch sehr männlich geprägt, was wir, die in Köln und Leipzig lebenden DJs und Veranstalterinnen Philo, Marie Montexier, Aino DJ und no:elia mit der Eventreihe im Klub JAKI seit 2021 ändern wollen: wir freuen uns, Euch Précey präsentieren zu dürfen. 

Précey möchte Raum für Diversität geben, um Safer Spaces und Empowerment in unserer Szene entstehen zu lassen, aber auch Genregrenzen zu überwinden und Raum für Eklektizismus bieten. Wir möchten die Vielfältigkeit der Menschen in der Kölner Szene auch auf unseren Line-ups repräsentieren und lokale aber auch internationale Artists unterstützen und ihnen eine Bühne geben. 

‘Précey‘ ist eine Wortneuschöpfung und setzt sich aus den Wörtern ‘présence’ und ‘Sarcey’ zusammen. Wir verstehen den Namen unter anderem als Hommage an starke Frauen und entschieden uns daher den Nachnamen von der französischen Feministin und Historikerin Michèle Riot-Sarcey in unsere Namensfindung mit einfließen zu lassen. Das Wort ‘présence’ haben wir in Kombination gewählt. Die deutsche Übersetzung dieses Wortes lautet ‘Gegenwart’ und präsentiert unseren gegenwärtigen Moment. 

Ein wichtiger Output des Kollektivs ist auch die musikalische Vielfältigkeit, die sich nicht nur auf ein Subgenre beschränkt. Der Fokus liegt dabei immer darauf, einen roten Faden durch die Veranstaltungen zu ziehen, der durch die eklektischen Spielarten jeder Einzelnen eine frische Dynamik erhält.

Michael Cignarale is an iconic new young legend of the queer underground: co-founder and resident DJ at Medusa (one of China's longest-running queer parties and record labels), creative director at Shanghai-based queer design studio WAVE, and shapeshifting vocalist known for their glitter-drenched visage and underground club hits like 2021's “She Takes Me Over”. Gome are a Hamburg-based duo known for their releases on Toy Tonics, their unique take on '90s-influenced house, and the musicianship of their all-hardware live sets.Together, Michael Cignarale & gome have turned in two epic house bangers — chuggy, jackin', future anthems anchored by rugged Chicago-inspired percussion and Michael's sultry vocals.
