a maelstrom of rotting leaves

where young bodies have lain

colours that God never intended to show

lay bare before us 
on nature's new feast
where are the dinner, dessert... 
and we are the beasts. 



it took more lives than it ever did before
we'd been practicing nonstop for hundreds of thousands of years
it took wives at home to keep track and score
our best knowledge of nature turned man into demon

with screeches they fly and propel through all air 
while sound and vision block out all screamin'
we run faster & faster from reason
