Venus Club (@venusclubofficiel) promotes women in electronic music and we're happy to have this collaboration with them this year.

Raveuse dans l'âme, Perdu et Retrouvé aime stationner devant les sound systems. Si elle se nourrit d'influences post-punk, électro, industrielle et house, la techno reste son genre de prédilection et sûrement celui où elle est la plus exigeante. Amoureuse de musique progressive, elle aime façonner un son mental et percussif. Elle s'est rapprochée du Venus Club pour entretenir cette énergie.
Dernièrement Perdu et Retrouvé a été à l'affiche d'un évènement Venus Club à CIEL, d'un évènement PWFM à la prairie du canal et de la réouverture de la Machine du Moulin Rouge.

TREVE Series 36 - Perdu et Retrouvé (Venus Club)

A new year and a new downtempo gem is coming from one of our favorite and one of the most prolific producers, Simon Huxtable, aka Inhmost. ‘Space and Awareness’ is the eighth album from Inhmost and a debut release on Tonight’s Dream Records, a record label and mix series based in Brighton, UK. 

Inhmost says it best: “Space & Awareness was made at a time when I felt particularly conscious and receptive of the space around me, and I wanted to create an atmosphere that reflected this organically. <> I did not want this album to just be purely ambient, so the use of downtempo beat structures and rhythms felt like a more appropriate way to convey the variety of emotions that I was feeling at the time.” 

We don’t know where Simon was producing the album, but each of the seven tracks on it is breathtakingly beautiful, and we are seriously tempted to visit the place that inspired it. 

The closing ‘Morning Break’ track sent us to a space that is simultaneously serene and extra-sensory. Listening to it feels like going through some sort of purifying ritual, drifting in a cloud of transparent and unspoiled sound. You come down from its heavenly atmospherics feeling all renewed with recalibrated vision, and instantly wanting to relive it again. 

‘Space and Awareness’ is out on January 31, 2022

Esoteric musings, more of a sketch than most, embody our focus of today. A whim, a thought, of what to do next is the mood. Molly has encompassed a moment in time experienced by all. 

As the label says, life after awareness is the beginning of an inner search that finds its expression in a collection of ten soundtracks that produce very profound changes on the emotional states of each of us.
Field recordings and soothing frequencies form the backdrop for dreamlike symphony of strings, woody bass notes and plinking tones. In some tracks, the billowing ambience is free to drift like curls of smoke.

2022 looks quite busy for our fellow NY-er, Aspetuck, who has a new long player called 'Inanimate Distraction Object' coming out on beloved Jeju-Island-based record label, Oslated. 
The album is inspired by the experience of becoming a new parent - the process of coping with constant change & learning to deal with a loss of independence contrasted with the beauty of watching a baby grow & observe the world around them. These songs serve as a sort of diary for Aspetuck, which has been a recurring theme throughout his time releasing music. Various field recordings of baby toys can be heard subtly throughout the album. 

'Bubbles,' our premiere for today, has an infectious groove that instantly catches the listener's attention, but it's the melancholic pads and catchy bass line symbiosis that does the magic during this voyage. Both elements create a feeling of warm undercurrents and tranquility, which, when layered with Aspetuck's signature rumbling groove, make quite a pleasurable ride. 
"Inanimate Distraction Object" LP exhibits Aspetuck's fine development as an artist and is arguably his most mature release yet. 
The album is coming out via Oslated on September 19th
