Also die Hörner und die Strings sind grandios, aber was mich völlig begeistert ist die percussion. Ist das ein Amboss der immer mal im Hintergrund auftaucht? Was auch immer es ist, es passt perfekt und schneidet richtig durch den mix, ohne zu penetrant zu sein und gibt dem ganzen noch einen besonderen Touch.

Sehr schön wie die Hörner zur Bedrohlichkeit beitragen !

‘Laura’ is a song inspired by another song I wrote as a Jim Morrison obsessed teenager about his school friend, Laura, with whom I walked home from school. Entitled ‘Ship in the Night’, the original song has Laura cast as Thor’s mistress as she battles overcome the heartache and misery she is suffering. ‘Laura’ is me wondering, years later, whether she was ever able to escape the “dark angels” that hounded her during her salad days and find the happiness and love she craved.

‘Laura’ is backed with ‘Sunny Apocalypse’, a quirky reflection on the early part of the Covid pandemic in the form of a disaster movie dream in which Burton and co-star Holliday Grainger find themselves dodging ‘giant globs of Covid raining from the sky’.

Not really alt rock but the guitar solo at the end is fairly anarchic.

Hi, I'm Torben Fugger, a composer from Koblenz (Germany) who focuses primarily on cinematic orchestral music. In my pieces, which often fall into the adventure or fantasy genre, I attach great importance to strong and catchy melodies and an emotional impact.

I think that the many years of listening to Johns Williams music on my Walkman while delivering newspapers in my youth have left their mark. As did the countless hours of exposure to the music of Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer and Michael Kamen. To put it briefly: I'm a film music nerd and you can definitely hear that in my own music.
