▌I Wie bist du zur Musik / zum auflegen gekommen?
Musik hat mich vom Kindesalter an geprägt. Mein Vater war/ist Musiker in einer Ostrock Band und meine Mutter war Tänzerin. Wir hatten zu Hause einen Plattenspieler, der ständig in Betrieb war. Hits von "Earth, Wind and Fire" oder "Michael Jackson" gehörten zur Tagesordnung. Als ich dann anfing die Berliner Clubszene kennenzulernen, wurde mir ganz schnell klar, dass ich selber auflegen möchte. Eine eigene Dynamik für die Crowd zu schaffen und Musik zu spielen, die ich liebe, war ein Traum für mich. Und somit kaufte ich meinen ersten Traktor Controler, welcher nach ein paar Jahren gegen CDJ´s und Plattenspieler ausgetauscht wurde. 

▌II Was trinkst du beim Auflegen im Club?
Sekt auf Eis.

▌III Wie würdest du deinen Stil selbst beschreiben?
In meinen DJ Sets vereine ich verschiedene Elemente aus klassischem Disco, Italo, NuDisco und Wave.

It was magical to DJ at Kater Blau. I opened the floor, so it was empty when I started: After what felt like three beats, it was packed, and the vibe was incredible: I've rarely experienced so much joy, connection, and playfulness in one space. Afterward, I had to step outside to catch my breath and realize it wasn't a dream. This moment will stay with me forever. It was wonderful to DJ for the amazing Femquency team, who welcomed me with open arms and lots of love. A big thank you to the fantastic dancers who filled the floor with love and joy for the music. It was incredibly fun to play for a select dance crew at the Muggelfield am See Festival. I played on a beautiful dance floor in an old barn, lovingly decorated. It was truly like you imagine a great festival, with people who treat each other with care. Nothing gets lost, everyone shares, and everyone is polite and understanding. I haven’t laughed this much in a long time. I also had the chance to take my time and philosophize about music with like-minded music nerds. The variety of consistently good music I heard was wonderful. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Henning!
We need more of this now more than ever in this dystopian world. I’m already looking forward to next year, my dear friends. Thank you for dancing and for the good vibes.

Tornadotoni, who was born and raised in Bellinzona  (the italian part of Switzerland), is a Berlin based DJ and Founder of the FLINTAQ* Artist collective Femunity. Since childhood she was a vivid music lover.  
At the age of eight she bought her first record and that was a big turning point in her life. For the next decades, one could find Toni getting lost in time & space at the best record stores all over the world, growing her diverse vinyl collection. Six years ago, Miss Yetti-a dear friend of hers & one of the first female electronic DJs around- asked Tornadotoni to DJ at her birthday party. Since then, she devotedly shares her passion for music and enjoys the magical connection that comes from dancing. Music is pure energy for Toni and it is from this feeling that she puts together her eclectic sets where many genres flow together, such as house, disco, indie dance, funk, dark disco, deep house, world, dub, ambient, organic house, conscious music, hip hop, acid, trap and many more which have one common denominator: “The Groovetrain”, as Tornadotoni calls it.
