Deep Sleep Robot has unearthed a new record label based out of NYC focussed on digging through the past and bringing light to unreleased gems and overlooked gems that were produced between 1990 - 2004. Deep Sleep Robot has their crew digging crates and vaults all over the world seeking out timeless and rarer than rare music for those unique dance floor moments. Kicking things off with a three-tracker from none other than Len Lewis "The Orbalisk EP". Len Lewis is already a regular on the infamous UK tech-house label Swag Records, and a deep back catalog of trusted DJ gems spanning back to the '90s. All tracks were produced by Len Lewis between the years of 1999-2001, timeless and rarer than rare, don't sleep on this one!

Repress of Simon Copleston a.k.a Iteration X’s debut EP delivered for Evasive Records in 2003. ’Timecheck’ and ‘Liquid Logic’ are 2 slabs of firing tech-house straight out of South London. Simon worked from his own studio and also Online Studios in Croydon. Simon sadly passed away in 2014 and we wanted to make this well sought after release available again so that his musical legacy lives on.

On the sunny side of the world, in California, InTheBagg is preparing the second outing of the label, a four tracker V/A as rich in influences as the artists delivering the music. From Acid-bleeps to WestCoast-Funk over to Break-esque and Housey vibes, InTheBagg02 has it all but still manages to keep its distinctive sound, which aims straight at the floors. The A2 by ╤─ also known as John Manhard is a musical deep and break-ish ballad in several stanza. Starting off with a lush bass line and slight Acid-bleeps the track is then added some deeper chords and aspirating vocals as well as a little West-Coast-swing using the momentum of the track to turn it into an affectionate dance floor teaser.

After being marooned in a small beach town in Brazil at the start of the pandemic, California-born Gene On Earth eventually made it home to Berlin. As the reality of the global situation sunk in, he set to work on his second album, working in an obsessive daily rhythm. After gathering an arsenal of samples and inspiration he returned to the studio for 5 months of feverish work. Set for release on June 3rd via his own imprint Limousine Dream, ‘Time on The Vine’ is a slick record delivered with the laid-back warmth of a producer at the top of his game. Breezy yet assured, its wonky minimal rhythms are as feel good as they are fun, a perfect antidote to the long and waning pandemic that birthed them.

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
