St. Petersburg-based label DOBRO is known for their eclectic releases showcasing their preference for various genres and sub-genres from electronic music. No exception is the seventh catalogue number which arrives with six new tracks going back and forth between House and Disco with nuances of Jazz and more uplifting sequences. Berlin artist Dj Merci contributes a piano-driven take, which honors House music's golden era of the 90s when raving and House simply became a synonym for having a carefree time out with love being omnipresent. However, Dj Merci transports just this message with his Timelapse track, which in-present times is a blessing and reminds people on and off the floor of enjoying themselves surrounded bei their loved ones as it creates those gone missing moments of happiness in its lapse (of time).

Flexi Cuts' sub label Incognito Trax is back with the fourth outing of pure musical pleasure with five tracks from Macchianera, DJ Spranga, BB, Disco 3000 and Delphi. The latter is also part of Tiger & Woods and contributes the B1, Imagination, to the potpourri of extraordinary music. Imagination is built upon a carrying and pulsating bass line pushing the listener respectively the dancers through the five minute lasting joyride, which is partly interrupted by little filter-breaks to heat things up even more. But it surely is the track's vocal sample and catchy chords that make Imagination one to remember - in the club, on the floor, and around.

Bari house don Rhythm Of Paradise has been upholding the Italo house tradition over a run of superlative releases for the likes of Cosmic Rhythm, Chiwax and Kalahari Oyster Cult, and now he returns to Smallville for more of that quintessential deep-diving gear. His sound is right at home on Hamburg's finest house label, with 'In My Face' revelling in subdued, blue-hued pad tones while 'Love Me Tonite' rides mellow chords on delightfully dusty beats. Nu Cleo is on hand with a sprightly remix of 'Deepside' before the record closes out with the celestial acid fantasy of 'Solaris'.

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
