Now with clubs across the world finally re-opening Eskimo Recordings have tapped up Belgian born, Berlin based DJBiesmansto deliver a club readyremix of Genki.

Fresh from releasing his own, acclaimed, debut LP on the iconic Berlin club Watergate’s own label, Biesmansreworks Genki's motorik rhythms, chopping up the bass line to produce a taut, angular intro that explodes intoaction as Aili’s“gairaigo”vocals loop over a soaring wave of rich synths and pummelling beats.

“When listening to the original, I knew immediately that I wanted to work with that vocal,”explains the Belgianex-pat.“The sound and the catchiness of it all just drew me in!” The result is a hypnotic banger, that instantlytransports you to the hallowed Berlin club’s dancefloor, its iconic LED lights dance in mesmerising patternsoverhead.

With more to come soon from the young Belgian-Japanese artist, this new remix perfectly complements theoriginal’s neon lit pop, perfect for dancing the night away, whether in Berlin or not, before heading home torevisit Aili’s startling debut.

Another day another premiere.
That is the third appearance of Menio Brown aka Rigopolar on swedish Tom Tom Disco label. His first EP on TTD -Golden Mask- in 2015,  directly catapulted Rigopolar into undergorund electronic scene with his own sound, which make him felt in djs/producers world like a fish into the water.  Some EPs and remixes of Rigopolar have been published during the last year, collaborating and working hand to hand with new producers and others "not so new", looking for a connection between artists with very good results on the scene. Tronik Youth, Heretic, Sinchi Collective, Pin Up Club, Cannibal Ink, Craig Bratley, JP Soul, Otheo, James Rod, Future Bones, Moo Monster, Los Fugazzi - just few names he was colaborating with or who gave him support by playing his music.

Exclusive Pletnev 'Hope They Won't Come Back (Lion's Drums Remix)'

Alexander Pletnev returns to V's label Le Temps Perdu with his EP 'Voranto Bros', consisting of two original tracks, namely 'Voranto Bros' and 'Hope They Won't Come Back', and two remixes respectively a drum mix of the EP's eponymous track. On remix duties we find 'Discodromo' and Harold Boué aka Abstraxion aka Lion's Drums from Biologic Records who dedicates himself to 'Hope They Won't Come Back' and delivers a heavily rhythmical take that smoothly changes directions when, almost half way in, disco-ish pads take over and add a dark twist to the take that continues to soak its audience deeper and deeper into its fascinating magic before the track fades out and leaves one back with the urge to press rewind to return to the drums and dark synth sounds.

Pletnev's EP 'Voranto Bros' will be released on Le Temps Perdu on September 27th, 2019.

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience.
