Foundations is a steam roller of a track calling on Ruff Stuff’s love for Mr.G, with some tasty French House accents adding a nice funk factor. Sliding Sine makes us wanna go felt pelt on an Autobahn with its rich bass stabs under late night synth echoes with tough drum programming.

Bress Underground comes aboard to collab on the next two tracks and makes his presence felt. The Community is a punchy gospel House cut with crackling vocal samples and trippy chord patterns. Something About It closes the EP with expertly chopped vocals and jacked out grooves, more catchy chords, and some irresistible rolllllling London style bass.

Pohl, the Madrid-based producer, makes a triumphant return to the System Error family with his latest offering, the Shinobi EP, released on their sub-label Fresh Tunez. Following his celebrated 2020 release on LowMoneyMusicLove, Pohl solidifies his reputation for crafting intricate, groove-infused tracks that blend genre elements with finesse. The "Shinobi EP" is no exception, featuring four meticulously produced tracks that showcase his signature sound. Among these, the A2 track "CVRSD" stands out as a masterclass in combining deep house with subtle hip-hop influences, creating a vibe that’s both laid-back and sophisticated.

"CVRSD" is an immediate standout on the "Shinobi EP", thanks to its intriguing fusion of styles. Torture the Artist - your source for contemporary electronic music

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.

The Italian born, Berlin based Gianfranco Barnaba is the mind behind Ruff Stuff.  He have rocked up on a host on different labels, including !K7, Shall Not Fade, Madhouse Records, Suol, Sloth Boogie and STEP Recordings. 
However, it's the work on his own label, the aptly names Ruff Stuff Music Ltd, for which he’s arguably best renowned.

Grew up during the ‘90’s electronic wave, firstly as clubber and then as DJ and vinyl enthusiast, in the mid-2000s he decided to start produce electronic music. The first steps were moved on the Idm and Ambient territories, driven by his love for ethereal melodies and intricate broken beats.

The shift to House happened after re-discovering different classic records hidden in his collection. 
From here the idea to create a music project focused on representing the vibes of the old-school House, Techno and Garage with a propensity to find the newest, freshest sounds. 

Rough samples, hypnotic melodies, groovy beats and vocals are the main ingredients that marks the Ruff Stuff’s sound.
