Premiere: A1 - Man/Ipulate - Music Call (Alex Kassian´s Power Play) [CMR008]

Demi Riquísimo and his Semi Delicious imprint return for their 15th edition with another versatile, club ready collection of cuts from old & new members of the label family set for a release on the 7th July.

The EP features contributions from regulars Lulah Francs, Jive Talk & label owner Demi alongside debuts from NairLess, Last Magpie, Corbi and Michelle Manetti. 

The A-side kicks off with ‘All I Need’, a collaborative track from Demi & Michelle Manetti. A bouncing, progressive house number with some old school Italian flavour that sets the tone nicely for the EP. Corbi’s ‘Kraken’ is up next providing some driving, analog acid squelch to SEMID015. ‘Don't Make Me Wait’ by Lulah Francs & Nebari wraps up the Ice Cream side. Proto house style drum programming and bass are juxtaposed nicely to the psychedelic synth work and impeccable vocals from Lulah creating a unique and versatile track to close out the A-side. 
The B-side opens with NairLess’ ‘Swell’, a tripped out slice of balearic trance. The EP takes a slightly more heads down turn on ‘Release It’ by Last Magpie. A menacing track driven by a sharp synth line that you’re sure to hear over festival season. Jive Talk’s ‘Wizard’s Slippers’ wraps up the EP in their imitable style. Off kilter drums, unique bass and minimalism with the perfect amount of elements to pique the listener’s interest bringing SEMID015 to a close in style.

Just in time for summer Maai Records prepares its fifth outing on the label, which comes from Barcelona-based beat-maker but foremost artist Vince Void exploring the depths of electronic music's diversity on his latest five-tracker on Lis Sarroca's label. Coming with four original tracks and a remix from Mario Liberti for the EP's title track Explorer Vince Void creates another momentum of his creative work  after delivering his audience a sneak peak into his (mind)-set with several contributions to Pau Roses and Adria's Cupula Recordings. The Vision, the B1 of Void's Explorer EP, is an intriguing heavily hitting minimalistic-beast, which impresses through its diverse deep chords as well as the Acid-ish note as booth add a tingling touch to the lush bassline perfectly complementing each other.

Monumental moments don’t come around too often, but we’re pretty certain this is one of them. 
We are proud to present the debut solo EP from a man known around Conspiracy HQ by many names - King of the Coast, Big Maui, Baby Hands, Eratik - to name a few, but you will most likely be familiar with him as Elijah Something. 

Co-founder of the label Elijah Something presents his much anticipated ‘Ecstatic Excursions’ EP, four slamming house/electro bombs that have already graced the soundsystems at some of the most highly respected festivals in existence today – Houghton, ADE, Hide & Seek and Lost Paradise, not to mention the clubs, warehouses and backyards where the punters are still piecing their brains back together.

‘On the Larry’ leads the charge from the front and rightly so. A whomping garage bassline, memorable vocal hook and driving hi-hat energy are just a few of the reasons this bad boy has been destroying dancefloors worldwide for the past 12 months.

Next up, ’Big Maui’s Big Wowee’ rings true to it’s name. Spaced-out electro wow-factor from start to finish, all cooked up in Big Maui’s interstellar beach-side studio.

Track Three sees Elijah team up with good friend of the label, Forge, to hammer out a piping hot collaboration in ‘Ecstatic Madness’. Rolling bass, acid synths and breaksy drum grooves lay the foundations for a sentimental vocal section from which the track takes it’s title.

Rounding out this monster of a release, Elijah strips it back to finish with ‘Mustang Cali’, an ode to our official Conspiracy mascot and everybody’s favourite bulldog. Percussion and glitchy FX rise and fall with elegance around a locked bassline groove, the perfect finisher to a stellar first solo outing from Elijah on his own label.

There’s not much remaining to be said about this one, the tracks have been speaking for themselves for a while now and it’s time they were shared with all of you wonderful co-conspirators. In our biased opinion here at Conspiracy, one thing is clear - Elijah Something’s first 4-tracker is a statement.

PREMIERE: Occibel - Hello Users

As we continue our quest through time and space in the search for unique dancefloor delights, we find ourselves in the land of love & pâtisseries for release number 21, presented by Parisian hardware wizard - Emi Omar.
Emi introduces four original tracks, gracefully toeing the lines between house, disco, funk and electro without missing a beat. Each new cut, sonically and structurally more unique than the last, brings a new surprise at every turn.
'Présente Mars' opens up on a lighthearted note with some emotional synth work and a vocal break which paves the way for a growling electro style bass line.
In a similar fashion, 'Woodfloor' begins with a nostalgic air; glitchy keys, swinging hats and what may grow to be Emi's signature vocoder style vocals. A futuristic arpeggiated synth takes over to guide us through a wormhole into another raw electro dancefloor heater.
'Jack Sully' arrives next up and is nothing short of a sampling masterclass. A punchy funk inspired bassline broken up by an 80's style bridge complete with big snare and tom fills, orchestral hits and washed out vocal cuts.
Last but not least, 'Together' guides us home from our interdimensional journey with an emotionally stirring 'electro-funk' attitude and disco style bassline.
We are so proud to be able to share such beautifullv unique music on our label and Emi Ömar's
'Hi, It's Emi' EP is just that. Four tracks that showcase a mastery of machines and a finely crafted skill for sampling whilst keeping the raw emotion and soul of the music at the time of recording.

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
