Following up on FAR&HIGH’s well received „Asperatus“ EP, Drubon follow up with a non-less impressive EP called „Snareman“ The fresh duo from Kharkov deliver a smashing 4 track EP including a remix from Diynamic’s very own Andy Bros.
 This release was born at the peak of isolation. During this difficult period, "our tracks were created to convey the rhythms of joy and sincere kindness in everyone's heart.“ Drubon say. „But it was also a total experiment“. A successful one! All tracks were created on a positive note - cheerful, optimistic, energetically powerful. 

"Snareman" is a bass and arpeggio dominated driver that rolls along until it’s dropping in a massive melodic break, but grooving not less effective after.  On "Silhouette" vocals were driven through the vocoder, while punchy kick and swinging percussion bring on a steady groove. The energy will catch you immediatly. 
"Rabbit" sounds sharp riveted, but has a lovely melody that is accompanied by an obsessive, octave-hopping bass - like an elusive rabbit!  Andy bros re-interprets the „Rabbit“ in a less jumping but not less flowing version. His Dark Side Remix is filled with a dark love pitched voice and synth, while a catchy beat also sometimes drives his version  back into „light“ in form of the strings highlights that are followed by 80ies inspired synth chords.

Exclusive Aaaron & Deckert feat. Nessi 'Wide Eyes'

Berlin based producers Jan Georg alias Aaaron and Christoph Deckert were responsible for one of the biggest dance floor hits, L.D.O.E., for which they teamed up with vocalist Valentine, last year. 2018 sees the duo return with 'Wide Eyes', a track that causes its audience's attention due to it's sophisticated arrangement in combination with Nessi's catchy vocals. A reduced bass line sets the tone of the track and is topped off with low-end synths before Nessi's soft yet raw vocals set in to create an atmospheric underground club vibe that may be common in Berlin but is rarely transferred as precisely as Aaaron & Deckert do it with 'Wide Eyes.

Aaaron & Deckert's EP 'Wide Eyes' will be released April 20th, 2018 on Scatcity.

Just when you think you've heard it all Sol Eterno label heads Braunbeck and Hazel come up with another talented artist just like that. For the 7th release on Sol Eterno the label honchos signed Bavarian artist Dan Grassler, better known under his moniker 'Naeiiv', who contributes a galactical three tracker to the label's track-catalogue, taking musically on where Philipp Harms has stopped with his 'Baguio EP'. Naeiiv's 'Versity' EP takes the listener to places, calm and restless, far away or close, known or yet to be explored but always triggering the human's psyche to balance and pin down the experienced experiences. The EP's title track takes its time before the lead synth slowly fades in and becomes the omni-present mental key element that partly changes its tonality in the course of the track as further soundscapes add a variety but not arbitrariness to the track. Still 'Versity' remains its mental note that digs deep into one's mind as if Edvard Munch's 'The Scream' has found its way to express itself at a musical level with this track.

Naeiiv's EP 'Versity' will be released on Sol Etero April 26th, 2019.

EXCUSIVE: Naeiiv - Versity [Sol Eterno]

Closing out ATL028 ‘Autostrada’ is pure dance-floor, with just the right hint of acid and eastern promise. The whole track has a sense of momentum. Exotic sitar scales make your thoughts wander to far off lands while thrashing percussives add intensity as Yost teases with the hook. Definitely a track to enhance any DJ Rekordbox.

After impressing with his contribution to ‘Watergate 25’, emerging Spanish talent Upercent steps up for his first full-length EP on the label.

In recent years the Valencia native has emerged with releases on labels of the ilk of Kompakt, Diynamic and the tastemaker favourite microCastle Records. We got our first taste of his talents on Watergate Records when the superb ‘La Lluita’ featured exclusively as part of ‘Watergate 25 – Adana Twins’ compilation. Late last year he made his debut at the club, where his distinctive aesthetic connected naturally. 

The new ‘Flor De Lotus EP’ exemplifies this style; a fusion of organic and analogue, Upercent’s productions are always thoughtful and emotive. ‘Somia’ is laden with cosmic synths, hints of the Mediterranean, and a dance-ready beat to boot. 
The intricate percussion evident in ‘Somia’ carries through in ‘Pulcre’; another rhythmic piece infused with an enigmatic vocal and a pulsating bass that continues to build throughout. ‘Flor De Lotus’ culminates with a high-energy, late-night remix of ‘Pulcre’ from Romanian DJ/Producer BOg, who also graced the ‘Watergate 25’ compilation.

For their  30th release ATLANT returns to Caserta in the Campania region of Italy, this time calling upon the vast musical talents of Andy Bros. Known for his innovative productions brimming with rich tones and textures, the three originals we present showcase a dance-floor focused approach that has seen Andy become an important mainstay for Diynamic Music.

Lead cut 'Over The Wall' combines a focused semi-tribal groove with intense shuddering bass pulses and an infectious chordal theme that really gets inside your mind. Adorned with layers of ethereal synths you can imagine yourself dancing on the deck of a sailboat with the bass under your feet and sea breeze touching your fingers ... melodies piercing the air while you bask in the warm glow of a setting sun.

Title track 'Back To The World' places a keen emphasis on groove, with its low slung bassline, rolling piano and a dramatic joyous theme creating the purest of club moments. There is a real sense of freedom here. 'Back To The World' isn't constrained by the chains of genres and is one of those tracks that can be played in any country, to open ears and minds.

Closing out the EP 'Coming To You' is an assault on the senses, that really highlights Andy's skills as a producer and sound engineer. Crashing retro percussion leads to a swirling arpeggiated hook underpinned by layer upon layer of elegant synthesizers and monumental chords. One of those euphoric late set gems with rising lines that will last long in the memory.

Mulya and Sobek author our next Chapter, reprising a creative relationship which has already borne significant fruit. Their work has seen them find a home together with labels including Monaberry and TAU, while they have been picked up individually by imprints including Bedrock and Get Physical.

Here they offer three big hitters. Title track Mirrored Screen opens things in style, its chunky afro techno groove offset by an enigmatic synth line and a choppy single note pattern that is laden with tension. Tribal vocals add to the mix before the main hook opens out and satisfyingly hits home.

Shaking Hands is the follow up, built around a distorted, pitching percussive groove for a determinedly heads down, wild affair that is bound to move the dancefloor.

Rounding things off, Hard Curve is just as heavyweight. Equally moody and foreboding as it is hypnotic and driving, it comes paired with an Edition by breakout artist Rinzen (mau5trap). Rinzen's rework is progressive and euphoric, communicating and deploying a sense of scale that is reminiscent of classic Sasha or Stephan Bodzin.

Rinzen's Edition makes for a fitting closer to a very strongly rounded EP from Mulya & Sobek.

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
