FilosofischeStilte is an influential producer, beatmaker  and DJ from The Hague, known for his unique blend of hip-hop and electronic dance music. With over 15 years in the scene, his sound is a meditative mix of digital abstraction, emotional depth, and a signature use of sub-bass and percussion. In 2016, he founded AW84, a platform that transcends music to promote personal freedom and creative growth, encouraging individuals to live by "Another Way." His work, including releases on Lowriders Recordings, Saturate Records, and Noah's Ark, continues to push musical and societal boundaries.

Old skool raver found that I still got the skills. yeah, some mixes aren't great, but their mine, and you can't always smash out amazing stuff. especially since I've only started mixing full time again in February of 2025. 

I used to love the scene as it was. No alcohol just pure friendly people and a wicked love for the music. 

I hope you enjoy the stuff I bring to your ears. I know they aren't all perfect. I'm sure some of the tracks and the way they're  put together will bring back memories of old. If you weren't there, then have a listen it might give you some ideas of what it used to be like.

Total Science - A Brief History

Jason Greenhalgh (Q-Project) and Paul Smith (Spinback) first met in 1987 brought together through their mutual love of hip-hop music. Over the next few years the pair developed a deep appreciation for Techno and Dance music at the beginning of its worldwide takeover. By 1991, Spinback was an established DJ, gracing the decks at events week in week out including the world famous “Universe”, meanwhile Q-Project had entered into the studio, his first release "Freestyle Fanatic", Their first label, Legend Records was launched with Q-Project’s highly acclaimed "Champion Sound" in 1992. It took their profile to new heights, and it remains one of the most influential tunes of its time and generation this was swiftly followed by the start of their early recording career together under the name Funky Technicians ……and so the unstoppable collaboration had begun.
In 1996, the well established pair launched the Computer Integrated Audio (C.I.A) label and the alias Total Science, was born. Over the coming years, Total Science had releases on all the major D&B labels including Metalheadz, Goodlooking, Moving Shadow, Hospital, Tru Playaz, 31 Records, Reinforced, Soul:r, Shogun Audio to name but a few, as well as releases under their own C.I.A. and various other imprints.

Total Science/ Q-Project have release 4 albums, however, the actual number of singles and EP’s the pair have released is currently an unknown quantity. Their relentless yearning to create music and dogged approach denotes there are just too many to mention! but defining tracks of Total Science 20 year career include:
